Hi guys!  I have a long awaited post for you today that is a little different from my usual thing (so be gentle with me!) and is very picture heavy!  I’ve got some of the cosmetics from Butter London’s new Rock & Roll line!  Let’s just hop straight to the goods!

Let’s start off with what we are familiar with on my blog, the polish!  This is “Indigo Punk” a sparkly indigo colored glitter that has glitter dense enough to make this opaque on it’s own.  It would also be an awesome one to layer or do a glitter gradient with!  This is 3 coats.

Butter London Indigo PunkNext we have the Cheeky Cream Blush in “Honey Pie”  is a perfectly pigmented blush with a lusciously creamy texture.  This is the first time I’ve used a cream blush, although I have wanted to try one for a while!  This one may have converted me.

Next is the Wink Cream Eye Shadow in “Indigo Punk” which is a lavender shimmer.  I’m really not a big fan of this. One, because it’s frosty and I just don’t get along well with frosty cosmetics of any sort and two, because it’s not very pigmented.  I found myself layering and layering it, on a swatch on the back of my hand and my eyelids until it was cakey and it still wasn’t the opacity I’d prefer.  Just not my cup of tea.

The Lippy Lip Gloss in “Dandy Bubbles” is a sheer nude lip gloss.  I’m sorry to say that I also was not a fan of this.  It was super sticky and hard to spread on my lips evenly and once I got it on evenly, if you looked close, you could see that it had settled into the wrinkles of my lips.  It just looked sloppy, to be honest.  The color was also not flattering on my skin tone.

The Lippy Tinted Balm in “Axis Kiss” I loved!  This is now one of my go to lipsticks when I need a subtle yet bright pop of color on my lips.  It’s almost the exact color of my lips but amped up so it doesn’t look too bright or bold for me to wear to work.  The color is a gorgeous punch-colored pink that has just the right amount of pigment and it glides on so nice and smooth.  I really really love this!

Now onto the eye pencils!  I got 2 of these Wink Eye Pencils to review in 2 different colors, “Union Jack Black” and “Indigo Punk.” UJB is an awesome black eye pencil.  Super smooth and opaque and stays put like no other eye pencil I’ve used.  I was trying so hard to make a smudge in the swatch I did on the back of my hand and no dice.  This baby would not budge.  Another new favorite for me.  IP on the other hand is good but again, I had problems with opacity.  I really had to draw back and forth and back and forth to get a nice hard line, even then it was a bit splotchy.  It’s a pretty color, with a nice shimmer and a cool blue undertone to it but it’s not worth the hassle to me.

Onto the mascaras!  I also got 2 shades of the Wink Colour Mascara’s to review in “Brown Sugar” and “Indigo Punk.”  Although, I’m exclusively a black mascara girl, I really liked “Brown Sugar.”  It was dark enough that it was still to my liking.  “Indigo Punk” was the one I was most excited about trying but it didn’t turn out as I’d hoped.  Again, the pigment was not great.  I could only notice that it was really purple when I was up close in the mirror.  I was really hoping it would be brighter and more noticeable but it missed the mark in my book.  That aside.  I really liked the brush, it fanned my lashes out nicely and elongated them as well.  The formula on the mascaras was nice too.  It wasn’t clumpy as all.  Went on nice and smooth and no spider lashes.
