Candy Lacquer 2012 Halloween Collection
This post is sooooo late! It’s been a busy day. But I wanted to squeeze as much Halloween goodness into the next few days as I can. Tonight I have 4 polishes from Candy Lacquer’s 2012 Halloween Collection!
“Halloween Candy” is a glitter top coat with green, white, black, red and orange glitters in a clear base. There are small and large hex, small and large bar, square and small round glitters in the mix here. It truly looks like a bowl of candy! The thing I love about Candy Lacquers is how flat the glitter lays. It is pictured without a top coat here and the glitter is completely flush to my nail. Curl-less glitter = happy customer! This is one coat over Zoya “Pippa”.
“Sugar Skulls” has teal, pink, white, yellow and iridescent glitter, all in a clear base. Such a variety of glitter in this one including flowers, hearts, small and large hex, small round, and some shimmer. I normally shy away from odd shaped glitter such as flowers because I’m just not a big fan but I ended up loving this one so much that I bought a backup. This is one coat over Butter London “Slapper”.
“Trick or Treat” has black, red and orange glitters in a clear base. Shapes include small and large bar, small and large hex, and small round glitter. I love the look of the little bars in here. This is one coat over Sparitual “Clay”.
“Vampire Kiss” has black, red and purple glitter in hearts, small and large hex, small bar, small round, and diamond all in a clear base. I find it interesting that a lot of Candy Lacquer’s glitter has a crimpy look to them. It adds dimension and interest while still lying completely flat on the nail. This is one coat over China Glaze “Purr-fect Plum”.
Candy Lacquer can be purchased at their website for $8.50 a piece. Unfortunately, 3 out of 4 of these are no longer available (*criesssss*) but they still have Trick or Treat available as well as another Halloween one that I didn’t buy and they’re half off right now . RUN! :) They release new and amazing colors all the time. In fact, they just debuted their line for Christmas and I’m DYING! One looks like an actual Christmas tree in a bottle. I didn’t know that was possible. So, look for that one on my blog in the coming month or two. Also, like them on Facebook to keep track of when they are stocking up next!
See you tomorrow for more Halloween swatches! :D
