China Glaze: Fall 2014 All Aboard Collection Swatches & Review
Hola mi amigos! I hope you are having a fabulous day! Today I have China Glaze’s Fall collection for 2014 for you!
“All Aboard” is a medium shade of purple with a slight dustiness to it. I’ve said it before but I love polishes that have a dustiness to them! It gets my heart thumpin’! Great formula. 2 coats.
“One Track Mind” is a dark navy creme. It looks more like a deep royal blue in the bottle but it dries a little darker to more of a navy shade once it’s on the nail. Gorgeous color, amazing formula. 2 coats.
“Conduct Yourself” is a vampy dark maroon creme with subtle red shimmer. The shimmer tends to hide a little bit but in brighter lights, it comes out to play. You can see the shimmer a little better in the bottle than on the nail in this photo. 2 coats.
“Don’t Get Derailed” is a muted army green creme. I feel like there aren’t enough army greens out there in polishland and I think that’s silly! I always love the army greens I come across even though they are few and far between. This one is awesome! 2 coats.
“Stop That Train!” is a reddish orange metallic with golden shimmer. Just from looking at the bottle, I didn’t think I’d like this one because it looks like it may be a frost but I found it to be nice and metallic and not frosty once it was applied. So vibrant and great for this season! I did 2 coats.
“Loco-Motive” has charcoal, silver and burnished orange glitter in a clear base. This one definitely fits the theme. I think of coals and a blazing fire that powers a big old locomotive train. Love it. This is 2 thin coats over “Stop That Train!” You could definitely get this opaque on it’s own too.
“Nice Caboose!” is a reddened purple creme with pink shimmer and flakies. I had a hard time getting the flakies out of here (they had sunk to the bottom a bit) but even without them, this is terrific. I could get lost in this shimmer. I did 2 coats.
“Choo-Choo Choose You” has gold to green duochrome shimmer in a muted navy base. I thought I would love this one but it ended up not living up to my expectations. The shimmer sort of took over the color and I was hoping the blue base would come through a little more. It is still a nice polish though and it has a great formula. 2 coats.
“Mind The Gap” has a murky green/brown jelly base with green and gold shimmer and flecks. I usually love ugly-pretty colors so you’d think I’d like this but I think it is pretty hideous. I don’t know if it’s because it doesn’t quite agree with my skintone or what but I hate it… and I don’t say that often. I did 2 coats.
“Lug Your Designer Baggage” has a brown creme base with grayish undertones and golden shimmer and flakies. Now this is awesome! I’ve been loving all the brown polishes that having been coming out this season but this is in a little world of it’s own with the added flakies and shimmer. Simply gorgeous! I did 2 coats.
“Well Trained” is a dark teal creme. I Fall-time staple in any polish lovers collection. Great color and formula. 2 coats.
“What Are You A-Freight Of?” is a really dark muted plum creme. I’m feeling like a broken record but this is awesome as well. It’s one of those colors that’s so dark it could appear to be black in some lights but it doesn’t take away the beauty. 2 coats.
This collection surpassed my expectations. I expected to like it but I didn’t expect to love it. It’s a fantastic, well-rounded collection, despite the one polish that I was really not loving.
China Glaze can be purchased at tons of different places including Ulta, Sally Beauty, Transdesign and lots of other retailers and E-tailers.
Do you see any colors you just have to have? Do you think the colors fit the theme and the season? I want to hear what you think in the comments! :)
