Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!  Today I have China Glaze’s Halloween Collection for 2014.  It has a kind of zombie apocalypse type of theme so of course, I was sold immediately.  You guys know all about my love for zombie stuff!  Coincidentally, The Walking Dead starts on Sunday and I am so freaking excited, I can hardly contain myself!  Who else will be watching on Sunday?  To tide us over, let’s take a look at these zombie-themed polishes!

“Don’t Let The Dead Bite” has a milky nude base with red metallic glitter in a variety of shapes and sizes.  Black Cat Lacquer made a polish similar to this a couple years ago for Halloween that I LOVED.  This is equally as awesome.  It looks like skin that has road rash or something.  How creepy and appropriate for Halloween is that!?  I did 3 coats.

“Rest In Pieces” has holographic bronze and gold glitter mixed with matte black glitter in a clear base.  I’m not the biggest fan of bar glitter and this one has a lot of them but somehow, I kind of like this.  It looks like a sparkly pile of hay!  I did one coat over China Glaze “Conduct Yourself”.

“I Love Your Guts” is a matte, textured metallic pinky-toned red with black microglitter and gold shimmer.  This is so odd.  At first I couldn’t decide if I liked it or hated it but it’s kind of cool.  I’ve never seen a finish like this and it actually seems perfect for Halloween.  It’s a little bit luxe and a little bit creepy.  It reminds me of velvet gothic-looking curtains.  I did 2 coats but it’s a one-coater.

“But Of Corpse” is a swampy green matte, textured metallic with black microglitter and gold shimmer.  I wasn’t sure at first about the last one but I knew right away that I loved this one!  SO PERFECT for Halloween!  Awesome.  I did 2 coats without top coat for the first photo.

“Getting To Gnaw You” has brown-toned copper glitter in a black base.  Another perfect Halloween confection!  It’s like a gloomy Fall night!  Really nice and opaque.  I could have gotten away with one thick coat but I did 2 thin coats.

“Ghoulish Glow” is a glow in the dark polish topper.  It’s got little glow in the dark particles in a clear base.  I believe China Glaze re-releases this each Halloween.  In the bottle, this looks incredibly glow in the dark but I’ve never really been able to get that look to transfer to the nails.  Maybe it needs to be worn on it’s own but it’s too sheer to be worn that way in my opinion so I don’t really know how to wear it.  I’ve never really been a big fan, and honestly, I’m still not wowed by it.  I did 2 coats over China Glaze “Conduct Yourself” on my pointer, middle and pinkie fingers and did some dots on my ring finger but you can barely tell.

I was really impressed by this collection aside from “Ghoulish Glow”.  I think this is the best Halloween collection they’ve done in a while!

China Glaze can be purchased at tons of different places including Ulta, Sally Beauty, Transdesign and lots of other retailers and E-tailers.

Who’s diggin’ this collection as much as I am?  And for you fellow Walking Dead lovers, let’s talk about how excited we are for that too!
