China Glaze: Summer 2017 Summer Reign Collection Swatches & Review
Hey y’all! I hope you are all doing well this fine Thursday! Today I have the China Glaze collection from last Summer! Fittin’ this in right before the Summer days are over. :) Enjoy!
All Glammed Up is a mint green creme. Freaking amazing formula, especially for a pastel. Two coats but it was almost a one-coater… WHAT!
Sun-Set The Mood is a coral-y neon pink jelly. It dries with a rubberized matte finish which is really cool but I did top coat here as always. You could wear it either way. Three thin coats.
Summer Reign is a super reddened bright purple creme with a fine and subtle golden shimmer. This one also dries with that matte finish but the top coat will bring the shimmer out better. Two coats with top coat here.
Sultry Solstice is a neon yellow toned orange jelly. This one dries to a satin-like finish, not quite as matte as the previous two polishes. I did three coats with top coat.
Sunset Seeker is a dark but bright red-orange creme that dries with a matte finish. When it’s matte, it’s not very smooth and it’s a tad streaky as well. All in all, I’m not loving this enough to say it’s worth the hassle. Top coat helps with all those lumps and imperfections. Two coats without top coat.
Two coats with top coat.
Emerald Bae is a bright but dusty jade green crelly. To my eye it’s got just a touch of blue in the base that gives it a jade feel. Sooooooo gorgeous! I’m in love with this one. Two coats.
I Truly Azure You has a cyan base with lots of bright turquoise shimmer that makes it glowy. Soooo pretty! A definite must if you love blue polish! Two coats.
Flame-Boyant is a bright cherry red creme. It dries down a bit dull but not quite matte. I love reds so I love this but it is a basic red. Nice formula, two easy coats.
Simply Fa-Blue-Less is a royal blue jelly. This is rich! I did three coats and there is still some VNL so if you don’t like VNL, you’ll need more coats or this won’t be your cup of tea.
Rose My Name is a metallic magenta with lots of bright pink shimmer. Beautiful and applies like a dream. Could be a one-coater but I did two.
Chroma Cool is a silver chrome polish. It has surprisingly few brushstrokes and levels out pretty well. Usually it seems that chromes are problematic but this one isn’t! It also stamps well! Two coats.
High Standards is a pale gold chrome. This one seems a bit more brushstroke-y than Chroma Cool but still decent. I like that neither of them give off the frost vibe. Y’all know how I feel about frosty polishes! These look like pure chromes. Two thumbs up and two coats again.
