China Glaze: Tranzitions Collection
Today I have the Tranzitions Collection from China Glaze to show you guys! I have had these for a couple of months but I kept putting off swatches! But alas! I finally have them. :) These polishes apply as the color they show in the bottle, but when you apply a clear topcoat (any clear topcoat. It doesn’t have to be a special one) it changes to a different color.
“Altered Reality” Is a teal metallic polish. It’s a bit streaky because of it’s metallic finish but the opacity is excellent, it’s a one coater. You may need/want to use 2 coats to even out streakiness though. I used one coat here. The color transition on this is the slightest of all the polishes in this collection. It shifts to a turquoise blue color, but it isn’t very obvious.
“Duplicityy” is a robin’s egg blue/green creme with some hidden silver microshimmer. This one had the same issue as “Altered Reality”, it could be a one coater but you might need 2 to even it out. I had to use 2 coats for this because it was just too streaky with only one. This changes to an aqua shade when clear topcoat is applied.
“Metallic Metamorphosis” is a gunmetal metallic. No obvious streaking for this one and it’s a one coater! I really like the gunmetal color too with the glints of microshimmer peeking out. This transitions to a charcoal gray.
“Modify Me” has a bright cornflower blue base with hidden silver shimmer. This was my favorite, the shade of blue is just gorgeous and it had a nice formula. This changes to a royal blue. I have on 2 coats here.
“Shape Shifter” is a dark charcoal gray metallic with blue undertones. In the bottle it looks more blue but on my nails it is less so. Same formula as “Metallic Metamorphosis” on this one. Really nice! And again, a one coater. This one changes to a midnight blue!
“Split Person-nail-ity” is a dusty lilac that leans pink. This had the worst formula of them all for me. It showed off all my nail imperfections and was really streaky. The color is really nice so it’s disappointing that the formula was no bueno. I used 2 thick coats. This transitions to a dark dusty pink.
China Glaze can be purchased at many different places like Ulta & Sally Beauty Supply as well as many other retailers and online retailers.
