Hi wonderful people!  You read the title of this post correctly… today I have a small HOLIDAY collection from CND for you.  Hol-i-day.  I can’t event fathom the fact that the holidays are encroaching on us already.  Doesn’t it feel like 2014 just started?  So I suppose this post is kicking off the beginning of the holidays and even better yet, it’s kicking off holiday collections! :)

“Grand Gala” has gold and pink shimmer in a metallic golden base.  I thought this might be a duochrome but it’s more like equal parts gold and pink shimmer so it looks more pink or more gold depending on the lighting.  This is 2 easy coats. “Dazzling Dance” is a purple and steel blue duochrome with holographic microglitter and pink shimmer.  This reminds me a lot of Butter London “Knackered” which was never particularly my favorite… pretty but not my cup of tea.  “Dazzling Dance” is rather sheer but I wanted to showcase it on its own first.  I did 3 coats.

I then tried 2 coats over Rescue Beauty Lounge “Purple Haze”.

“Chiffon Twirl” is a silvery and rose gold foil.  Now this is a polish I can get behind.  I love rose colored anything.  This polish is perfection.  2 coats but a definite one-coater.

While I do like “Chiffon Twirl”, this collection didn’t wow me.  “Dazzling Dance” was a major thumbs down for me.  If I had to choose between it and Butter London’s “Knackered”  I would definitely go with the BL counterpart.  As for “Grand Gala”, I did like it more than I expected to.  I liked that it wasn’t a duochrome but it’s still pretty meh and I can’t see myself reaching for it again to wear.  Here’s to hoping CND’s Winter collection is a little better!  :)
