I’m Valesha! Here is a little bit about me!
Current City: Seattle
Marital Status: Married for 6.5 years
Hobbies: Nail polish, graphic design & watching way too much TV
Why is your blog named Peachy Polish?: Growing up my brother always called me Peach because I loved to be Princess Peach when we played Nintendo. As I got older, the name stuck and even unknowing co-workers started calling me Peach. And alas, Peachy Polish was born.
When did you become a nail polish addict?: March 2011. I discovered Deborah Lippmann’s “Across the Universe.” That polish introduced me to a world I never knew existed and I was hooked.
Why did you decide to start a blog?: Nail polish started out as a passion that I just did for fun but I gradually started posting my manicures on Instagram and to my surprise, people actually liked what I did. I put off starting my blog because I thought, “everyone and their mother has a blog nowadays, mine will just get lost in the shuffle” but after seeing how my persistence paid off on Instagram, I thought why not venture into the blogging world. And what better way to make use of all my nail polish!
How many polishes do you own now?: Take a look for yourself! My pride and joy!
How often do you paint your nails?: 0-2 times a week. (but multiple times a day for swatches on some days.)
How do you keep your cuticles so nice?: Check out my nail care tutorial HERE!
What are your favorite manicure & hand care products?: Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover, Deborah Lippmann Eco-File Nail File, Bliss Kiss Simply Pure Nail Oil, Nail Butter, Lush Lemony Flutter & L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream.
What is your favorite brand?: It’s really hard for me to choose a favorite brand. There are so many amazing brands out there these days! Some of the brands at the top of my list are OPI, Zoya, Deborah Lippmann, KBShimmer, CrowsToes, Lynnderella, Cupcake Polish… but ohhhhh how the list goes on…
What brand do you think has the best staying power?: I really can not attest to wear time. I have tried a million different top coats and base coats (or at least it feels like it.) I’ve tried so many different nail polish brands too. No matter what I do, polish just does not last on me. I think it has to do with body chemistry which is different for everyone. I’ve heard people say, “such-and-such brand lasted for over a week!” I’ve never had that happen, EVER. I think the longest I’ve ever been able to wear a mani is 4 days and I probably didn’t do or touch a thing in that span of time. I honestly think that you just have to find what (if any) particular brand will work for you. :)
Do you make the polishes you swatch? If so, where can I buy them?: I don’t make polish. I swatch for other brands. You can find out where to purchase all the polishes I swatch at the bottom of each post or do a quick google search for the brand.
Can I buy polishes from you?: Everything I am getting rid of is listed in my blog sale. If you don’t see something listed, I am not selling it. I do not sell any polishes that were provided to me for review.
Can you review my polish line?: I always like trying new brands if time permits. Don’t feel discouraged if I don’t have time to swatch your brand. Please contact me at Valesha@PeachyPolish.com to find out if I have any availability.
