Jaded Nail Co.: Magic Brownies, Shooby Doo & Tear Dust

Happy New Year!  How was everyone’s night?  I had a blast just hanging out at home with some friends.  :)  I had planned on posting a fun New Year’s Eve mani yesterday, but it turned into a failed mani.  Whomp whompppp!  :/

Today I have some swatches of a few polishes from Jaded Nail Co.!

First up is “Magic Brownies” which has a really intriguing color combination.  Unfortunately, it’s just not my cup of tea, although I do like the concept.  It has a lighter chocolate brown base with a strong green shimmer.  It comes off a little bit frosty and just doesn’t suit my skin tone well but the formula was nice and really easy to work with.  It’s opaque in 2 coats.  I did 3 coats here for good measure.

“Shooby Doo” has bright turquoise and holographic silver glitter in a clear base.  This one is really pretty and sparkly.  Nice formula and nice glitter pickup.  The bar glitter laid really nice and flat as well!  This one was my favorite of the three!  This is 2 coats over China Glaze “First Mate.”

“Tear Dust” has a sheer gray base with bright turquoise and white glitter and holographic shimmer.  This one would have been my favorite but it was near impossible to get the white glitter out.  It all sunk to the bottom.  I left it upside down for a few minutes and I was able to get a few pieces but not many.  The turquoise glitter on the other hand was a breeze to pickup.  This is 2 coats over China Glaze “Recycle.”
