KBShimmer: 2012 Winter Collection
I’m so happy that I’m finally able to post these. Every time KBShimmer releases a new collection, I’m amazed. They have some of the best polishes. The quality and glitter pay off and opacity are all stellar. These are no exception so I will spare you my repetitiveness! On to the swatches!
“All Decked Out” has multicolored hexes, gold holo hexes and gold stars in a dark evergreen base. It’s like a beautiful twinkling Christmas tree in a bottle. This is one coat over Deborah Lippmann “Billionaire.”
“Berry Christmas” has small berry pink hexes, small and medium purple hexes and multiple shades and sizes of red hexes in a cranberry red base. Cutest polish name! It makes me think of little tiny chipmunks in Santa hats collecting berries for the winter. You too, right? RIGHT?! LOL! Anyway, love that this isn’t the typical shiny Christmas red and it has a delicate feel about it. This is 3 thin coats alone.
“Candy Cane Crush” is a white and red hex glitter mix in a clear base. Annddddd it’s scented! It’s a nice sweet vanilla scent. I made the mistake though, of wearing this when I had the flu and man, the flu bug wasn’t a fan of the scent! But in reality, it smells good and isn’t overwhelming. You can even smell it through the top coat! This is 1 coat over China Glaze “Glittering Garland.”
“Cocoa Nut” has multiple shades of pink glitter and gold microglitter in a chocolatey brown base. I’m not fond of the name of this, just because it reminds me of summertime and tropical weather! But of course, sometimes you have to put the name aside and see the beauty of the polish. Haha! I’m not usually one to go for brown polishes but this one makes me want to wear more brown polishes! It’s beautiful! This is 3 coats on it’s own.
“Hex Appeal” is be-ee-a-beautiful! A navy blue jelly polish with magenta, silver and blue hex and mini bar glitter. The name is awesome but seems odd for a winter collection. Or maybe not, depending on your holiday plans! *Ba Dum Tss* (I must be on a Christmas high or something, sorry.) Anyway, I love me some blue polishes and yeah, this one is right up there with the best of them. So gorgeous. The depth is amazing. This is 2 coats over China Glaze “Man Hunt.”
“Snow Way!” was the one I was most excited about when I saw the pictures and it’s just as good in person. It has some snowy white glitters and iridescent microglitter in a sky blue base. I wish I would have layered this, it looks a little clumpy in the picture but in real life, it isn’t by any means. This is 3 coats alone.
“Sugar Plum Faerie” has holo berry, holo lime and purple hex glitter in an array of sizes in a light plum base. Another pretty one. I’m sounding like a broken record here but yep, I love it. This is 2 coats over OPI “Dutch Ya Just Love OPI?”
“We Three Blings” has the best name! Can you tell I’m a fan of polish naming? So freakin’ clever! Also, the polish is just that… blingy! Gold, gold everything, shreds, hexes, microglitter, shimmer. This is 1 coat over China Glaze “Exotic Encounters.”
“Wrappers Delight” has red, gold and green glitter in a bunch of shapes and sizes in a clear base. This polish was a little more expensive but half of the proceeds went to benefit Toys for Tots, so totally worth it! And to top it off, it’s a gorgeous polish. Once again! This is 1 coat over Butter London “Knees Up.”
These are available through KBShimmer‘s website or for the international gals, you can buy them through Harlow & Co.! I promise that I will relax. Maybe after Christmas is over. Haha! Hope you guys are almost ready for Christmas! :)
