KBShimmer: Fall/Halloween 2018 Falloween Collection Swatches & Review
Hello hello wonderful readers! Today I have even more KBShimmer goodness, but this time it’s a brand spankin’ new collection. In fact, it’s their Fall/Halloween collection, set to release October 1st! It’s full of spooky, autumnal awesomeness! There is a lot to see here, so let’s get started!
Hide And Eek has a white crelly base speckled with little tiny black, orange, purple, yellow and green glitters. Love it! Wonderful formula and perfectly Halloween themed without being what you’d typically expect. Two coats.
The Snuggle Is Real is a pale tan creme with the most buttery formula. The only creme in the collection. Practically a one-coater. I did two here.
Take It Or Leaf It has color-shifting metallic flakies in a clear base that go from gold to red to burnt orange and sometimes green. It’s like crunched up fall leaves in a bottle. I’m stunned. One coat over The Snuggle Is Real.
I also wanted to show Take it or Leaf It over a darker colored base. I used a cosmetic sponge and layered it over Deborah Lippmann Venus In Furs.
Here For The Boos has a pumpkin orange jelly base and loads of holographic microglitter. It’s one of the mega flames KBShimmer does that is just incredible. They never get old to me. Practically a one-coater but I did two here.
Smashed is a deepened copper linear holographic inspired by pumpkin spice! Pumpkin spice indeed! Two coats.
Fool Moon is a multichrome polish that shifts from olive to gold to yellow and sometimes to a dusky blue. Really nice and opaque! You’ll want to use a light hand while applying to avoid major brushstrokes. I did two coats here and most of the brushstrokes evened out nicely.
Absinthe Minded is a multichrome as well. This one shifts from kelly green to lime to blue and sometimes even navy blue. Same formula and opacity as Fool Moon. So perfect for the multichrome lovers of the world! Two coats.
Creep It Together is a multichrome magnetic polish! I haven’t shared many (if any?) magnetic polishes here! This one has a lot going on! When not magnetized, it looked like a typical multichrome polish. It shifts from pink to green to gold. When a magnet is used, all that color shifty goodness moves toward the design on the magnet leaving the base black.
This polish is also accented with multichrome flakies which shift from pink to green to blue and gold! The flakies really stand out when the magnet is used. I used the only magnet I have in my immense array of nail polish supplies. I don’t even remember where I got it, it may have been from Zoya??? It’s a wavy pattern and you can see the effect it gives on my ring and pinkie fingers. I’ve always thought I wasn’t a huge fan of magnetic polishes but I think this one changed my mind. I love the way it looks when magnetized! I did two coats of Creep It Together here.
Best Witches is another mega flame polish! In love! It’s got a royal purple base with a boatload of holographic microglitter. So magicallllll! Two coats.
Spell Check has a luscious sapphire jelly base with metallic flakies in emerald, teal, indigo and blue. This one seemed a little on thicker side and required a bit more patience to apply but nothing major. But oh man! Look at that payoff! Two coats.
As I mentioned earlier, this collection will be releasing on October 1st at 1PM EST. Perfect way to kick off the spookiest month of all! :D
