KBShimmer: Spring 2014 Collection Swatches & Review Part 2: Cremes
Hi guys! Today I have the second half of KBShimmer’s Spring Collection for ya! This half is full of cremes (and a shimmery top coat that actually belonged to the glitter half of the Collection.) This is a first for KBShimmer… a whole second Collection comprised of only creme formulated polishes! I was so excited to try these out!
“Chick Me Out” is a bright sunshine yellow creme. A pure and awesome creme. Like almost every yellow out there, the first coat was a tad streaky but it had great coverage and evened out really nicely in 3 coats.
“Life Rose On” is a bright medium pink creme. It’s got the thick kind of formula that makes it a breeze to apply. Almost a one coater! I did 2 coats.
“Honeydew List” is a pistachio green creme. I think you could get away with 2 coats if you use a ridge filling base coat. I did 3 coats here.
“Prism Break” is a scattered holographic silver top coat. Nice and delicate. I did one coat over “Honeydew List”.
Update: Here are some swatches of “Prism Break” over a darker shade. I did 2 coat over “Eclipse” on my pointer and middle finger and one coat over “Eclipse” on my ring and pinkie fingers! (You can catch swatches of “Eclipse” toward the end of the post!)
“A Touch Of Glass” is a dusty toned light blue creme. Pretty pretty! I think this would benefit from a ridge filling base coat as well. I did 2 coats. (EDIT: I forgot to mention, this has a slight shimmer in it but I really couldn’t see it once I had on 2 coats.)
“My Life’s Porpoise” is a medium gray creme. Nice creamy polish with a great formula. It actually took on a slightly blue tone against my skin. 2 coats.
“Sky Jinks” is a bright cyan blue creme. Just like a bright blue sky! Great formula! 2 coats.
“Pansy-Monium” is a grape creme. It reminds me of one of my most favorite purple polishes of all time… OPI “Funky Dunkey”! Gorgeous and perfect! 2 coats.
“Eclipse” is a black creme. A touch on the thick side but easy to use. Might be my new go-to black creme! 2 coats.
These will be available on March 14th on KBShimmer’s website. If you live outside of the U.S. you’ll be able to purchase these on Harlow & Co‘s website! You can follow KBShimmer on Facebook and Instagram, as well as Harlow & Co. on Facebook and Instagram for news and updates!
