KBShimmer: Spring 2017 Nauti By Nature Collection + 2017 PolishCon Exclusives Swatches & Review
Hi lovely people! Long time no talk! After my announcement that I was going to start swatching regularly again, I got some big news! If you follow me on my social media accounts, you already know. If you don’t, my big news is that I’m pregnant!
My husband and I are expecting a baby boy in January 2019! But boy, did that first trimester (and then some…) kick my butt. I was pretty much glued to my couch trying to stave off all-day nausea and all those other wonderful pregnancy symptoms. Plus my depression really reared its ugly head after I went off my antidepressants. Luckily, I talked with my midwife and started them up again and am feeling so much better and ready to play some catch-up on my blog before the baby comes. Once he’s here, I hope to keep up with the blog in some aspect but it will all depend on how life with baby goes! It’ll all be new to me. :)
So that’s my tiny little excuse this time around. Haha! But today I actually have some polishes to share with you too! It’s KBShimmer’s Spring Collection from last year! Plus a couple of polishes that were their PolishCon exclusives from last year. Let’s check ’em out!
Tempting Fête has a white crelly base with purple, green, orange, magenta and gold glitters. There are small and medium sized hexes and teeny micro bar glitter. Really great formula and glitter distribution. Couldn’t be better. Two coats.
Saved By The Shell has a sandy nude creme base with a strong copper-pink shimmer. This polish is so right. Gorgeous and perfectly formulated. Two coats but it’s practically a single coater.
Copa-Banana is a golden yellow linear holographic. As with all KBShimmer holos, perfect formula. Two coats.
Starfishing For Compliments has a soft taupe crelly base with coral, turquoise, black and white glitters in stars, hexes and microglitter. So easy to get the stars out, no “starfishing” required. LOL! Two coats.
Salt Water Sassy has a pale aqua base with a mix of coral, yellow, turquoise, periwinkle and white hexes. This polish was inspired by the Carribean apparently and this polish makes me want to go there immediately! Two coats.
Got It Sandaled has a dark and dusky periwinkle purple creme base with a strong pink shimmer. Ooh, lovely! It’s a little thicker than the others so far but in a good way that makes it easier to control. Two coats but it could be a one-coater!
Latitude Adjustment is described as a periwinkle blue holographic. I found it to lean very blue against my skin tone but it’s one that may shift depending on your skin tone. It’s lovely. Two coats.
The Girl Is Tiki is a linear holographic reddish pink with a touch of orange. This one is going to look so different depending on the person and lighting, it’s a bit of a mystery to look at and very intriguing. Two coats.
Keep Palm And Carry On is a lush warm kelly green with a linear holographic effect. Wonderful formula and a gorgeous shade of green, just like a palm frond! Two coats.
Tropic Like It’s Hot is a jewel-toned teal linear holographic, like light bouncing off deep ocean waters. First of all, this name! SO GOOD! Second, this color is absolute magic. So rich. Two coats.
Macaw Me Maybe is a velvety bright ruby shade with a linear holographic effect. This red is so fabulous and fiery! Two coats.
Show Me The Mahi has a bright cerulean jelly base with aqua and lime green holo glitter and lots of irideschent glitters. Lots of depth in this beauty. Two easy coats.
PolishCon 2017 Exclusives
We Make Your Dreams Come Blue has a steely medium blue base with tonsssss of turquoise shimmer and silver holographic flakies. It’s so glowy and shimmery that it almost takes on a duochrome feel. It’s awesome. Two coats.
Grand Prospect Holo has a multichrome base that shifts from navy to blue to purple to teal and even a bit of a copper shift too. It’s accented by lots of silver holographic microglitter. Galaxy like! Two coats.
Unfortunately, the PolishCon Exclusives will be hard to find considering they were only available around the time of PolishCon but you can always keep your eye out in blog sales and destashes.
Good news though! The entire Spring 2017 collection is still available! YAY!
