KBShimmer: Summer 2016 Collection Swatches & Review
Hi guys! I’m coming to you from the past! I’m writing this before my vacation but scheduling it to go live during my vacation so that you can see the KBShimmer goodness ASAP! :) I’m sure I’m having a nice time on vacation and I hope that you all are doing well and enjoying the guest posts! I know I will be/am enjoying these fabulous ladies’ nails! :D Could this sound anymore confusing? LOL!
Today’s post features a brand new collection from KBShimmer! You know that KBShimmer is one of my faves and I always get excited for their new colors. Their Summer ones are usually my favorite releases because… NEONS! Let see how this collection fared!
“Neon Me” has a white crelly base with neon circles and microglitter. Neon, glitter, crelly. ‘Nuff said! Great formula. 2 coats.
“Don’t Play Koi” has a white crelly base with coral, aqua and gray glitter. The glitter colors go together perfectly. Great formula again. 2 coats.
“That’s Nude To Me” is a pinky-toned nude with a golden linear holographic effect. This is the perfect nude for my skin tone. I love it. 2 coats.
“Mai Tai One On” is a buttercup yellow with lots of gold and green glass-fleck type shimmer. 3 coats but you might be able to get by with 2 depending on your polishing style.
“Ready For A Good Lime” is a pastel neon lime creme. Excellent formula. Absolutely gorgeous color. It reminds me of CG’s “The Grass Is Lime Greener” but with a better formula. 2 coats.
“Playing With The Buoys” is a pastel aqua creme. This color is life. I’m taking it on vacation with me! Amazing formula. 2 coats.
“Good Reef!” is a warm-toned light neon pink with tons of purple and blue glassy shimmer. This is darling and it has a nice formula. It’s so confusing because one second it’s a pastel and the next it’s a neon and then the next it’s just a regular pink! It’s really cool! 2 coats but you may need 3.
“Suit The Breeze” is a periwinkle blue with pink and gold glassy shimmer. It’s a little thinner than the other polishes that are similar to this in the collection (like “Good Reef!” for example) but still easy to use. I suggest using thin coats to prevent pooling. I did 2 here.
“How Low Can You Flamingo?” is a neon pink creme. Broken record here but it’s got an amazing formula! Eye-searingly bright! The brightest in the bunch I believe. 2 coats.
“Along For The Tide” is a somewhat metallic cobalt with pink shimmer and a linear holographic effect. I didn’t think I’d love this as much but DUH, of course I do. Again, fab formula. 2 coats.
“One Night Sand” is a reflective tan shade with metallic flakes and holographic silver shimmer. This is the same type of polish as KBShimmer’s Birthstone Collection from earlier this year. So pretty and sparkly! 2 coats.
“Gull, Get Real!” is a reflective purple shade with metallic flakes and holographic silver shimmer. Again, similar to the Birthstone Collection polishes. The color of this is just gorgeous! 2 coats.
Surprise, surprise… I think this collection is killer. The cremes are my absolute fave because I’ve been loving cremes for a while now and the ones here are just perfection. I love that KBShimmer always has a little bit of everything in their collections. There is sure to be something for everyone!
