KBShimmer: Winter/Holiday 2016 Collection Swatches & Review
Hola! I hope you are enjoying your Friday! Today I am helping debut KBShimmer’s newest collection! It’s their collection for Winter and Holiday 2016! KBShimmer’s Holiday collections always get me into the spirit and these did the trick. Now I can’t wait for the holiday season to begin! There are 16 polishes here so let’s snap to it!
Take Me For Granite has a warm gray crelly base with black, white, silver and gunmetal glitters and a scattered holographic shimmer. 3 coats.
Whiskey Business has a warm yellow-gold crelly base with tons of metallic and holographic gold and silver flakies. 2 coats.
Bling In The New Year has metallic and holographic silver flakies mixed with a smattering of multichrome flakies in a clear base. 2 coats.
The Holy Kale has a muted kelly green base with a linear holographic effect, a blue sheen and purple sparks. 2 coats.
Ink Again has a bright royal blue base with a linear holographic effect. 2 coats.
Royal To A Fault has a regal purple base with purple, pink and blue glass fleck. 2 coats.
Get To The Poinsettia is a pinky-toned warm red with a linear holographic effect. 2 coats.
Have A Look-Ski is a dark-wash denim with a linear holographic effect. 2 coats.
Yeti Or Not has a semi-sheer grey-toned white base with silver holographic microglitter and iridescent shimmer. This is a bit thicker and trickier than the typical KBShimmer polish and dries with a somewhat gritty texture that evens out with top coat. 3 coats.
A Walk In The Park-a is a brightened plum creme. 2 coats.
Ornamentally Flawless has gold, teal, green, blue and magenta glitter in a clear base. One coat over A Walk In The Park-a.
Spruce Things Up has a medium green crelly base with gold holographic microglitter. 2 coats.
Chai-huahua is brown-toned brick creme. It could lean more red or more brown depending on your skintone. 2 coats but it’s a one-coater.
Haute Mess has holographic silver and bronze glitter in a clear base. This could be opaque on it’s own but I did one coat over Chai-huahua.
Just Duvet It has a deep royal purple base with tons of copper shimmer and flakies with a holographic shimmer mixed in. 2 coats.
Soot And Ladders has a black crelly base with jewel toned shimmers. 2 coats.
Overall: I love this whole collection! The names, the cohesion the formulas (with the exception of Yeti Or Not) are fantastic! Don’t get me wrong though, YON is worth the trouble and it’s stunning. It’s like a sparkling snow bank. I love so many, it’s hard to pick, but some of my tops choices are Whiskey Business, Take Me For Granite, Chai-huahua, Spruce Things Up and Ornamentally Flawless. I mean, I could go on forever. Another killer collection from KBShimmer! There will also be some holiday promos that I will be sharing with you shortly so come back and check those out!
