Today I have 3 polishes from Nostalgic Nail Lacquer’s New Wave Winter Collection! These are my first Nostalgic Nail Lacquer’s and I have no idea why I’m just now trying these out. They are so pretty and I love that the names are old school! I just had to have these ones after I saw Samarium’s Swatches post these on her blog!
“Mad World” has multicolored glitter in many sizes and shapes including that circular glitter that I’m obsessed with. I can’t ever get enough of glitter bombs like these. And the fact that this one has the circular glitter just makes it that much better in my eyes. The formula was really great, perfect glitter suspension and pickup without being thick and clumpy. Loveeeee! This is one coat over Zoya “Kylie 2.”
I also wore this one day as a jelly sandwich. I completely stole this idea from Samarium’s Swatches (I kinda like her… maybe… but only a little bit… ok, a lot…) It’s looks so pretty over a delicate sheer base so I took it a step further with the jelly sammy. I had to do it the minute I got it my hot lil’ hands! This is one coat sandwiched between OPI “You Callin’ Me A Lyre?”
“Rock Me Amadeus” has fuchsia, teal, purple and black glitter in a milky white base. This has my second favorite type of glitter in it… SQUARES! And lots of them. It was also just a dream to apply. It’s pictured here with 3 coats by itself.
“Take On Me” has orange, turquoise, dark blue and fuchsia glitter in a milky white base. The color combo on this one is sooooo good. In a nutshell, I’m obsessed. Formula was exactly the same as “Rock Me Amadeus.” 3 easy coats as well on this one!
I am so impressed by these. I love the interesting color combos. I am definitely looking forward to doing some fun stuff with these come summer! Nostalgic Nail Lacquer can be purchased on their website! Also follow them on Facebook and Instagram!
And for your listening and viewing pleasure, here are the great 80′s songs these polishes were named after!
Aaaah, 80′s music. I love you.
