Pahlish: May 2017 Shades Swatches & Review
Hey there everybody! Today I have a bunch of polishes from Pahlish that were released back in May of last year. LOTS of goodies in this post! When I was photographing this collection, I was playing around with the idea of a different hand-pose. Afterwards I put up a poll on Instagram asking if I should keep my original pose or use the new one. The old pose won but the new pose was really close to winning. Nevertheless, the people have spoken. Apparently my swatches are recognizable just by my pose so I’m keepin’ it classic! I did photograph most of the collection using the new pose though, so enjoy it this once and then we’re back to our regularly scheduled program. :)
Anway, blah-dee-blah-dee-blah, let’s get down to brass tacks… PAHLISH TIME!
By The Sea Collection
Ready Or Yacht has a white crelly base with multichrome flakies and violet shimmer. Two coats.
Seaside has a bright but dusky medium blue base with silver holographic flakies. This one practically covers in one coat but I did two here.
Kiddie Pool is a teal jelly with silver holographic flakies. This may lean more green or more blue depending on your skin tone. Either way, beautiful! Two coats.
Doctor Who Collection
Pompadour has a dusky lavender base with pinkish red shimmer and silver holographic flakies. It dries down a little bit matte but I did top coat as always. :) Two coats of Pompadour.
Magician’s Apprentice has a coral colored jelly base with red shimmer and reflective purple flakies. This polish is freaking magic in a bottle. I love it even more than expected. Two coats
Don’t Blink is a gunmetal foil with multichrome flakies. There is something about a good gunmetal shade that makes you feel badass. I feel that with this one. Two coats.
Time Vortex has a darkened cerulean blue foil base with a scattered holo effect and holographic flakies. This one has incredible depth. I did two coats but it’s a one-coater.
Summer Escapes Collection
Reverie has a royal purple jelly with a rainbow of multichrome flakies. You could probably get away with 2 coats, I did 3 for max coverage.
Islands In The Sky has a dark blurple jelly base with matte and metallic aqua glitter mixed in. I found this to be on the thick side. It took a little more concentration than usual to apply. It makes up for it in beauty. This is so pretty!
Primadonna is a blue-toned purple cream with a linear holographic effect and blue shimmer. Gem like on the nails! Two coats.
Embers is an orangey red linear holographic with copper shimmer. It may lean more orange or more red, depending on your skin tone. In the bottle it looks more orange but once I put it on it leaned more red. Love a good red holo. Two coats. (Forgot to take photos of the holographic effect, but I think you know what a holographic polish looks like by now. Hehe!)
Electra Heart is a vibrant berry red with a holographic flakies and a golden and pink shimmer. Two coats.
Sharp and Tart is a red foil with silver microflakies. One coat would suffice just fine but I did two coats here.
Summer Cremes Trio
Lemon Bee is a pale yellow creme with very slight green tones. It’s a little streaky as pale yellows commonly are but not terrible. I did three coats to even it all out.
Fairy Lights is a sky blue creme. I did two coats here.
Sugar Bloom is a pale lavender creme. Two coats.
These might not be available right at the moment, but keep your eyes peeled because they rereleases shades all the time!
