Serum No. 5: Fall 2013 Collection Swatches & Review
Happy weekend y’all! Does anyone have anything fun planned? I am having a low key weekend doing chores and errands since next weekend me and my husband will be out of town! It’s nice to have weekends where nothing is planned. They are my favorite. :) Today I have Serum No. 5’s Fall Collection to show you! There is a wide variety of polish types to choose from in this collection which is kind of nice! Something for everyone. On to the swatches!
“Jaded” is a super pale jade green linear holo. A bit thin but covers nicely in 2 coats.
“Mauvelous” is a pale pinky mauve linear holo. The formula is the same as “Jaded.” 2 coats.
“A Cup Of Teal” is a teal blue linear holo. This is the most pigmented of the 3 holos in this collection. I really love this color! 2 coats.
“Pink Lantern” is a super bright medium pink with a strong cantaloupe orange glow in the dark effect! I really really like this one and the color it is when it glows in the dark! Awesome! 3 coats.
“Atomic Peach” is a light, light peachy colored glow in the dark polish that glows to a bright yellow. It’s a bit streaky even in 3 coats. There is a little bit of shimmer in here but it looks like there is lint stuck in the polish, which is odd. But I like the glow on this one, because it’s so strong. This is 3 coats.
“Acai Of Relief” is a blue to purple duochrome. Not the strongest duochrome effect but still there. I recently discovered that people photograph duochromes/multichromes under water to bring it out and I don’t know who started this but it’s amazing! It really does capture the duochrome/multichrome effect! So awesome! You can see the under water picture in the second set of shots. 3 coats.
“Second Spring” has coral, yellow, aqua, green and fuchsia glitter with gold shimmer in a milky off-white base. This is so pretty! I love it! It has a great formula and glitter payoff too. 3 coats to opacity.
“Best Witches” has marigold, yellow, lavender, and white glitter with holographic shimmer in a sheer slate gray base. It’s too sheer to be worn alone but it’s nice over a gray base. This is 2 coats over China Glaze “Immortal.”
“Rise and Grind” has copper and white glitter in a sheer dark brown base with strong gold shimmer. It has a nice formula and glitter pickup but this isn’t really my cup of tea. One coat over Habit Cosmetics “VooDoo.”
“Samba-dy To Love” has red, orange, purple and blue glitter in a clear base. It’s like a fiesta! Very nice. One coat over Habit Cosmetics “Blue Velvet.”
These polishes are available now! Pink Lantern will only be available until the end of October so don’t miss out. They are available for purchase on Serum No. 5’s Etsy shop or on their Website.
