Hi guys! It’s been a while since I did an “undie” post so today I have a bunch of polishes that I’ve used under glitter polishes in the past couple months.
Rescue Beauty Lounge “Aqua Lily” has a pretty aqua blue base and hidden pink microshimmer. The shimmer in this is only visible in certain light but when it flashes, it wows! Great formula on this one. This is a cult favorite of RBL’s and unfortunately isn’t available anymore. Sometimes they do “Bring It Back” events where they will bring back a popular polish, but you never which polishes they will resurrect. You may be able to find this on eBay or through blog sales or swaps if you are lucky. This is 2 coats.
Deborah Lippmann “Call Me Irresponsible” is a bright purple jelly. It’s easy to use although it is really sheer. This is 3 coats and it looks opaque in some spots and bald in others. It was hard getting an even look.
Sephora by OPI “Cartwheels On The Catwalk” is a dusty sky blue creme. This was part of the Betsy Johnson for Sephora by OPI Collection and I love Betsey Johnson, so I picked this and one other from the collection. Really nice formula here. Creamy and easy to use. This is 2 coats.
Sparitual “Clay” is a polish that I lusted over for a long time. I finally bought it a few months ago and it’s everything I had hoped. It’s a dark clay-orange creme with a great formula. I love colors like this. This is 2 coats.
Victoria’s Secret “Flash” is a pale pink with silver microshimmer. The formula on this left something to be desired. It was on the sheer side but could be built up in a few coats. I had to be really careful when applying it. I used a light hand and waited a long while between coats and it still seemed to leave some bald spots. This is 3 coats.
Deborah Lippmann “Just Walk Away Renee” is a dark edgy blackened burgundy creme. Another one with a great formula but be careful because this one stains if you get it on your skin. This is 2 coats.
Zoya “Kylie 2” is a bright neon red/orange. I imagine it’s the closest you can get to neon red. I love this color sooooo much. It was one I purchased on a whim during Zoya’s 3 for free sale (you just pay $10 for shipping) a few weeks back and man am I happy I picked it up! Formula was a wee bit thick but still easy to work with. This is 2 coats.
China Glaze “Man Hunt” is a royal blue creme. This is my go-to royal blue. The formula is perfect and it looks so great under glitter polishes. This is 2 dreamy coats.
Butter London “Pillar Box Red” is a tomato red creme. Another smooth and creamy polish here. 2 coats to opacity.
Essie “She’s Pampered” is another red creme. This one is more of a true red… not too orange or too blue toned. Good formula once again. This 2 coats.
Essie “Where’s My Chauffeur” is an aqua blue creme. I’m a broken record tonight, but this one has a great formula as well. 2 coats here but I think one more would have beneficial.
Dolce & Gabbana “Wild Green” is a dark kelly green creme. The formula on this is superb but it stains horribly! I only had this on for 10 minutes for swatching purposes and it stained all of my nails. I would suggest doubling up on base coat and hopefully that will prevent stainage. The color on this is so beautiful though that it won’t deter me from using it. Plus it was a gift from my hubby so that makes it even more special. ♥ This is 2 coats.
Lastly I have Kleancolor “Wild Rose” which I got to use under one polish in particular. You will see that swatch coming up this week. This color is so gorgeous on it’s own though with it’s bright fuchsia base and shimmering glass flecks and the formula is absolute perfection. I honestly don’t know why I don’t own more Kleancolors. Every one I have tried has been excellent. This is 2 coats.
You can see where to buy these polishes on the “Where To Buy” at the top of the page. I hope you guys have a great beginning of the new week. :)
