Undie Sunday 3/3 – OPI Edition!

It’s Undie Sunday again!  For those who don’t know, occasionally on Sunday’s I do a sort of “spam” post with a bunch of polishes I’ve used underneath glitters recently.  Coincidentally all of today’s undies are OPI polishes.  :)

“Call Me Gwen-Ever” is a red-orange creme from the Spiderman Collection.  It photographed more red than it is in real life.  It’s more of dusty red-orange in person.  This is 2 coats.

“Don’t Pretzel My Buttons” is a medium khaki colored nude polish from the Germany Collection.  Maybe not my perfect nude, personally, but a good one nonetheless.  This is 2 coats.

“Lucky Lucky Lavender” is a polish I have seen so many people use, but I never owned it.  I finally got it a few weeks ago and I’m so glad I did.  It’s a perfect in between color.  Kind of purple and yet, kinda pink too.  This was part of the Hong Kong Collection  This is 2 coats.

“Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!” is a dark dark moody gray with a bit of a green undertone to it.  I nice staple for any stash.  This is also part of the Germany Collection.  This is 2 coats. (Excuse the smudge looking thing on the bottle.  One of the stores I buy OPI at always has a scratched up line on the bottle like this. :/ )

“Ogre The Top Blue” is one of my most favorite blue polishes!  It’s a cerulean blue creme and it looks good under so many polishes.  This was part of the Shrek Forever After Collection.  2 coats here.

“Sparrow Me The Drama” is a bright but dusty pink shade.  It was part of the Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection.  This is 2 coats, but I think 3 would have been better since there are some visible bald spots.

“Wooden Shoe Like To Know” is a chocolatey brown polish with a gorgeous gold/copper microshimmer.  The microshimmer wants to hide and it can be hard to see in some lighting.  This was part of the Holland collection.  I used 2 coats but once again, should have gone with 3 as you can still see some patchy areas.

OPI polishes can be purchased at tons of places.  I purchase mine at Ulta, Aveyou.com, etc.

  1. I am NOT a fan of the nude colors…. But I love the others :)

  2. Pretty swatches! If you’re wondering about that smudge thing on your OPI bottles it’s probably a filed off serial number. I found a post about it here http://www.nailedblog.com/2012/02/how-to-spot-fake-opi.html it doesn’t mean your OPI is fake, but probably being sold by an unauthorized retailer. The serial number is filed off so it can’t be traced back to whoever gave it to the unauthorized retailer.

    • Interesting! Thanks for the link. The ones that have this are from a popular store here in the Pacific Northwest so I know they aren’t counterfeit but like you said, it doesn’t necessarily mean that. I may need to stop buying from there, just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the info!

  1. [...] is a pinkish lavender creme.  It looks like a slightly darker version of OPI “Lucky Lucky Lavender” so if you aren’t able to find it, this might be a good alternative.  Great formula [...]
