Zoya: Winter 2015 Matte Velvet Collection Swatches & Review

Posted on Nov 7, 2015

Hi!  Whatttttt?  A post on a Saturday?!  :)  My weekend is absolutely filled with nail polish (I’ll basically be swatching from sun up to sun down the entire time, haha!) so why not share the good stuff with you guys too.  Today I’m sharing with you Zoya’s Winter Collection of Matte Velvets!  Check them out!

Zoya Winter 2015 Matte Velvet Collection | Peachy Polish

“Aspen” is a glimmering white with a matte finish.  The shimmer comes off as mostly silver with bits of blue and pink shimmer mixed in.  2 coats.

“Amal” is a warm red with lots of sparkling red shimmer that dries to a matte finish.  2 coats.

“Iris” has a warm grape base with pink and purple shimmer that dries with a matte finish.  2 coats.

“Yves” is a vibrant cobalt blue with cyan shimmer that dries to a matte finish.  I’m afraid this might be a stainer, but I will need to test that theory.  Just be aware that it’s possible you will need to double up on base coat.  2 coats here.

I was curious how similar some of these were to previous Zoya mattes so I have a quick little comparison on a swatch wheel.  As you can see, no dupes here!  Here they are without top coat:

These all have perfect formulas.  Seriously buttery and smooth.  Zoya does these mattes so fabulously.  I only wish that they would do even more colors.  I will keep on wishin’! :)

Zoya polishes can be purchased on their website and at Ulta, as well as other E-tailers and retailers! Zoya puts on some great promotions so make sure you follow them on Instagram and Facebook to keep tabs on the deals!
