Zoya: Winter/Holiday 2014 Wishes Collection Swatches & Review
Happy lazy Sunday! Today I have Zoya’s Holiday and Winter collection to show you!
“Prim” is a wintery shade of blue with a lovely dustiness to it in a metallic finish. The shade of blue is just beautiful, it almost has a periwinkle tone to it. There is slightly noticeable brush strokes like some metallics can have but not bad. I did 2 coats but it’s a definite one-coater.
“Haven” is a moody metallic purple with strong bright purple shimmer. This is absolutely gorgeous. The moody base mixed with the shining shimmer is so striking. 2 coats but could be a one-coater.
“Willa” is a pure black creme. It’s got a teeny tiny duskiness to it, compared to other black cremes but still deep and dark. Great formula. 2 coats.
“Nori” has holographic silver glitter and shimmer in a sapphire blue jelly base. This is a PixieDust which implies to me that they should be matte and/or textured, it was not. I waited for quite a while and it never dried even a little matte. Even here, it kinda looks like I used top coat but alas, I didn’t. I did 2 coats.
“Thea” is a medium purple jelly with holographic silver glitter and shimmer. Same situation here, as with “Nori”. It didn’t ever dry down matte or textured. Gorgeous nonetheless. I did 2 coats.
“Imogen” has silver glitter in a black jelly base. This dried the most matte out of the 3 PixieDusts here but it still wasn’t completely matte, more satin or as Kellie Gonzo has described some of the PixieDusts before, “gummy”. Again, still pretty. I did 2 coats without top coat first.
Although I do like these, the PixieDusts were a let down for me. I really miss the truly matte and textured ones from previous collections. I hope in 2015, Zoya will go back to that.
