4th of July & Canada Day Red, White (and Blue, too!) Swatch Spam!
Hello again! Happy Canada Day to you lovely Canadians! Continuing with the patriotic theme this week, I have a bunch of red, white and blue polishes for you today to celebrate Canada Day, as well as the 4th of July for us Americans, coming up on Friday! Let’s get right to the pretties!
OPI “Funny Bunny” is a sheer white polish. This is one of my all time favorite white polishes… even just one of my favorite polishes in general! So delicate and it makes a great undie for any polish. 2 coats.
Elevation Polish “Catch A Wave” has turquoise and pale aqua glitter with iridescent shimmer in a slightly blue tinted base. I loved this polish for a long time. It was one of the original polishes that turned me on to round glitter. One coat over OPI “Funny Bunny.”
Black Cat Lacquer “America F*ck Yeah” has red, white, blue and dark silver glitter in a clear base. Perfect for the 4th of July and of course I love the profanity in the name! :P One coat over Butter London “Keks.”
Butter London “Blagger” is a warm blue creme. A perfect blue. 2 coats.
Deborah Lippmann “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” has red hexes in a clear base. A nice staple in any collection. One dabbed coat over Butter London “Blagger.”
Lynnderella “Thank Blue, Too!” has pretty holographic cyan glitter in a clear base. So pretty! I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve tried it. It’s been 2 years since I got it. O_o One coat over OPI “Skull & Glossbones.”
Lynnderella “Ruby Red Ruby” has red glitter in barely red tinted base. The glitter topper changed the color of the undie a little bit but I swatched it over OPI “Ogre The Top Blue.”
Happy Hands Polish “I Just Blue Myself” has cyan and royal blue glitter in a clear base. Sparkly and fun! One coat over OPI “OPI… Eurso Euro.”
Lynnderella “Wave That Flag” has dark red, lighter red, white, dark blue and cyan blue glitter and blue shimmer in a clear base. I love the different shades of red and blue in here. Cute! One dabbed coat over OPI “Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!”
China Glaze “Man Hunt” is a gorgeously creamy royal blue creme. A little on the thin side so use thin coats to prevent pooling in the cuticle. I did 2 coats.
Deborah Lippmann “My Old Flame” is a perfectly true red creme. You couldn’t get a more middle ground red… not super blue toned, not super yellow toned. 2 coats.
Lynnderella “Deep Blue Seeing” has metallic cyan and royal blue glitter in a clear base. Nice blue glitter. One coat over Deborah Lippmann “My Old Flame.”
Deborah Lippmann “It’s Raining Men” is a yellow toned red creme. Loooooove! Awesome red polish. 2 coats.
Essence “Glorious Aquarius” has aqua, turquoise and iridescent glitter and shimmer in a clear base. I love how sparse and delicate it is. One coat over Deborah Lippmann “It’s Raining Men.”
Orly “Angel Eyes” has cerulean blue microglitter and iridescent glitter bits in a clear base. I didn’t expect to love this as much as I do! It glows! 2 coats over OPI “Ogre The Top Blue.”
Zoya “Dream” is a deep royal blue polish with scattered holographic shimmer. This was voted as the best blue polish of 2013 by my readers and I can see why! It is absolutely stunning. 2 awesome coats.
Zoya “Sunshine” is a denim blue texture with silver and blue glitter and shimmer. Amazing color and it really does look like a pair of jeans. One amazing coat.
Zoya “Chyna” has red and pink glitter and shimmer in a red base and it has an awesome textured finish. Gorgeous. 2 coats.
Zoya “Liberty” has medium blue and cyan glitter in a cyan jelly base that dries with a textured finish. Why oh why does this polish have to be a stainer!? I used 2 coats of base coat for the swatches and it didn’t leave stains but I’d be worried if I wore it as a full mani after all the bad stories I’ve heard about the staining. Such a shame because this is incredible! 2 coats.
What are you guys going to be wearing for the 4th of July.
