Chaos & Crocodiles: Dreaming Of Dragons Series Swatches & Review

Hello all! Happy Friday! I’m so excited for this weekend to be here. Some weeks are just harder than others, sometimes for no reason at all. :P I’m also excited because I have some amazzzzzzzing polishes from Chaos & Crocodiles to show you today!

“Summit Sunrise” has lots of flakies that shift from magenta to gold to green to blue in a clear base. 3 coats alone on the pointer and middle fingers and 2 coats over black on the ring and pinkie.

These next photos were taken underwater to show the colorshift.

“Meadow Skies” has loads of flakies that shift from gold to green to teal to blue and sometimes even hints of magenta all in a clear base. 3 coats alone on the pointer and middle fingers and 2 coats over black on the ring and pinkie.

“Hidden Caves” is full of flakies that shift from purple to copper to magenta to green in a clear base. 3 coats alone on the pointer and middle fingers and 2 coats over black on the ring and pinkie.

“Ancient Embers” has, you guessed it, a bunch of flakies in a clear base that shift from red to gold to copper to green and even magenta, blue and purple at some angles! 3 coats alone on the pointer and middle fingers and 2 coats over black on the ring and pinkie.

“Silent Wings” has mostly green to gold to blue colorshifting flakies mixed with a rainbow of flakies in a clear base. 3 coats alone on the pointer and middle fingers and 2 coats over black on the ring and pinkie.

“Charmed” has magenta, gold and green colorshifting flakies mixed with rainbow flakies in a clear base. 3 coats alone on the pointer and middle fingers and 2 coats over black on the ring and pinkie.

“Dragon Snorgles” is a sparkly reddened purple with a scattered holographic effect and red to purple to gold colorshifting flakes. 2 coats but could be a one-coater.

All of the flakies have pretty much the exact same formulas. And it’s great! So easy to pick up the flakies and spread on the nail nicely. The colorshift in these is just insane. With “Summit Sunrise” and “Ancient Embers” the colorshift was so vivid, even in my lightbox, where it’s usually difficult to see the colorshift. I’m in awe. And “Dragon Snorgles”… I’ll take ten please. In more colors too. I can’t even handle these beauties.

These polishes will be available tomorrow, January 24th at 3pm PST on their website! Yeah, you’re not going to want to miss this restock!

Chaos & Crocodiles polishes can be purchased on their website, Mei Mei’s Signatures & Norway Nails! You can also check out their Facebook, Instagram & Twitter for all kinds of news and updates from the brand.

Question - how familiar are you with Elevation Polish’s Tronador and would you say that’s a decent dupe for Dragon Snorgles? B/c as much as I adore it (the name alone!), I have Tronador and I can’t tell if it’s a dupe or not.

These are turning me onto flakies! The color shift in Meadow Skies and Hidden Caves are the most surprising! And holy cr@p Dragon Snorgles…
