Cirque Colors: Spring/Summer 2016 Metropolis Collection Swatches & Review

Posted on Apr 8, 2016

Another work week is coming to an end and to start off another beautiful weekend, I have the latest release in Cirque Colors’ ongoing Metropolis Collection to share with you! It’s been a while since I shared colors from the Metropolis Collection so let me give you a little info. This collection is a series of New York themed creme polishes released periodically throughout the year. Last year they were released monthly but this year it’s looking more like they’ll be released seasonally. Today I have the Spring and Summer shades for 2016 which includes 9 polishes in total. Check them out!

“Don’t Forget The Cannoli” is a slightly off-white creme. 2 coats but it’s practically a one-coater! Insane for a color of this nature.

“Meet Me In Montauk” is a super pale warm-toned blue creme. Again, really great formula for a shade this light! Almost a one-coater but I did 2.

“Whitney” is a sweet pale pink creme with a gorgeous duskiness. These light shades are blowing me away. Amazing formula. Again, one-coater but I did 2.

“Key To Gramercy” is a vintage mint creme. Soooooo amazing! I can’t believe the formulas on these. Another one-coater but I did 2 here.

“Lox And Sable” is a salmon colored creme. Good formula here as well although not quite as great as the previous four. I did 2 coats.

“Fire Island” is a juicy red-toned orange crelly. So squishy! Every time I swatch an orange creme, I remember how much I love them. The poor things are so neglected in my stash! I did 2 coats.

“Rhapsody In Blue” is a vibrant and perfectly medium blue creme with a little bit of duskiness. Loveeee this blue. 2 coats but another one-coater here.

“Mermaid Parade” is a creamy teal green. This is my favorite color of nail polish but normally shades like this stain. :( :( :( I will be testing it out to see if it stains because one day I will find one that doesn’t! :) That aside, this is beautifullllll! I did 2 coats.

“Chelsea Girl” is a perfect purple creme. It reminds me of my all time favorite purples, OPI “Funky Dunkey” but deepened. 2 coats.

These gorgeous polishes are available now! Cirque polishes can be purchased on their website. You can also click here for a list of stockists, and there are lots of them! Don’t forget to follow Cirque Colors on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date with new releases and news. :)

Insert 4-letter curse word here. Why are these do these have to be so gorgeous? Why am I not rich? Why don’t I have a sugar daddy?

  • LaraLeaf

Beautiful swatches! I have gotten several of these but you are making me want them all, hahah. At this point, I am ready to destash a bunch of my mainstream polishes so I can invest ‘all in’ in Cirque polishes!

Hi! Thank you so much for your swatches. This whole collection is amazing.
I remember you did a great comparison of Zoya Sia and OPI My Pal Joey - can you please tell if Rhapsody In Blue is dupe to any of these polishes?
