KBShimmer: Spring 2015 Collection Swatches & Review
Happy Wednesday! We’re halfway through the week! Yay!
Punxsutawney Phil may have seen his shadow on Monday but it’s already starting to feel a lot like Spring on the blog! Today I have KBShimmer’s Spring Collection for 2015 to show you!
“Sweet Egg-scape” has red, light blue, periwinkle and carnation pink glitter with silver holographic shimmer and glitter in a pale pink crelly base. Starting off this post with a bang because this is by far my favorite from the collection. How freakin’ cute is this! The color combo is lovely. It will be perfect for Easter and Valentine’s day… and every other day of the year! Great formula, just like you’d expect from KBShimmer. 2 coats.
“Cool Hand Cuke” has a super pale mint green crelly base with peach, teal, white, periwinkle and pink glitter with a dusting of silver holographic shimmer. This is so darling! Perfect for Spring for sure. Nice formula. This is 2 coats.
“Meow Or Never” has purple, royal blue, light blue and gray glitter with a sprinkling of silver holographic shimmer in a super pale gray crelly base. The base looks like it’s white at first but compared to a white polish, it’s definitely ashy. So adorable! And the name… anything cat related will always be my fave. This is 2 coats.
“To Peach His Own” has a pale peach-almost-nude crelly base with metallic and holographic lime, magenta, purple and gold glitter. I didn’t think I would like this very much. Boy was I wrong… this is so pretty. It looks closer to nude than peach against my skintone which I love. Great formula. 2 coats.
“I’m So Sweet Pea” has teal, purple, pale blue and pale pink matte glitters in a pale lavender-almost-white crelly base. Another delicate beauty here. The mix of glitters is so unexpected but works wonderfully. I did 2 coats.
“Wind Swarm” has magenta, white, gold and purple glitter with gold holographic shimmer in a pale sky blue crelly base. Cute and has a great formula. I really love the base color. I did 2 coats here.
“Funky Cold Patina” has a bright teal crelly base with gold, blue, purple and teal glitter. The base has a somewhat neon feel. It even dries down satin-y. The glitter mix is so interesting. Nothing you’d you expect to see together but it somehow works. I did 2 coats.
“Thistle Be The Day” is a pale lavender linear holo. The rainbow effect is really awesome. Good formula. A little on the thin side so I suggest using thin coats to prevent pooling. I did 2 thin coats here.
“Ins And Sprouts” is a warm spring green with a linear holographic effect. So pretty. It borders on being chartreuse which I love. Similar formula to “Thistle Be The Day”. I did 2 coats.
“Blush Money” is a beautiful shade of warm blush pink with a subtle golden linear holographic effect. This has a jelly-like formulation more than a creme one like most other holos which I think sets this apart. Plus, it is one of the prettiest shades of pink ever. I would like to wear this forever, please and thank you. 2 coats.
“Blue-d Lines” is a medium shade of ocean blue with a linear holographic effect. So pretty and insanely holographic. Awesome. Similar formula to TBTD and IAS. 2 coats.
“Eyes White Open” is a pure white creme. You’ve asked, KBShimmer has delivered! Finally a white creme to add to your KBShimmer collection! Formula was not bad at all for a white creme! I think you’d be pretty hard-pressed to find a perfect white creme, if it even exists, but this is definitely at the top of my list. I used a ridge-filling base coat, as I do with all of my swatches and 2 coats using a gentle hand and it turned out really nice and even. The first coat wasn’t even streaky. Pretty great! If you are forever on the search of a good white creme, I would give this one a shot for sure.
As per usual, KBShimmer has created another flawless collection. There is a reason this brand is so beloved in the polish world. Just awesome.
