Nubar: Fall 2014 Falling In Love Collection Swatches & Review
Happy Friday! I hope you all have fun plans for your weekend! Today I have a brand that is new to the blog… Nubar! I have been wanting to try out this brand for a long time (basically since my polish addiction began) and I’m glad I’m finally getting the chance to not only try them, but share them with you all! Let’s take a look at these pretty Fall polishes.
“Love American Style” is a gorgeous warm-toned red crelly. I just love a good red polish and this is fantastic. The crelly formula sets it apart from a lot of other red polishes that are out there. This is 2 coats.
“First Date” is a bright mustard yellow with a strong golden shimmer. I wasn’t too sure about this in the bottle but once I put it on, I was sold. This is going to be a Fall favorite for me. I can already tell! 2 coats.
“Sweet Hue” is a neon pink shade with strong gold shimmer. You will never hear my complain about having neons every time of the year! It’s a nice change of pace to see this in a Fall collection. Great formula. 2 effortless coats.
“Passion’s Pain” is juicy raisin-colored jelly. This is super shiny and squishy and extremely swoon-worthy. Great formula. 3 coats here.
“Queen” is a luxe royal purple creme with purple shimmer. This is stunning. The shimmer really comes out in bright lights and it kind of takes your breath away. 2 perfect coats.
“Don’t Russet” is an earthy rust red creme with pink and golden shimmer. Gorgeous shade and the shimmer sets it apart. 2 coats.
“Lush” is a squishy medium teal crelly. I love that this collection consists of mostly crelly formulas! It really makes the polishes look squishy and luscious. 2 easy coats.
“Affair” is glowing bright teal crelly with green and gold shimmer. This fits in with the resurrection of shimmering teal/green/gold polishes that have been coming out this Fall. They were so popular a few years ago so it’s nice to see them making a comeback! This is so beautiful. Another welcome edition to my stash. GREAT formula. 2 coats.
I’m happy to report that I loved this collection. On the first coat of each of these polishes, they were a little sheer and I was worried that they might not build up well but they did so perfectly with just one more coat (on all but Passion’s Pain which required 3 in total.) I can’t wait to try more Nubar polishes. What a wonderful brand!
Nubar polishes can be purchased on Nubar’s website. You also might try a quick Google search because I’m sure there are e-tailers that carry them as well. Don’t forget to follow Nubar on Facebook and Instagram to keep up-to-date on all the latest happenings. :)
