Hello again friends! Today I have a little collection from Glisten & Glow to share with you. This collection was a collaboration with Nicole from Young Wild & Polished and features 4 creme polishes! I also have a review of their latex barrier called CTRL-ALT-DELETE and their cuticle oil! Let’s get right to it!
“OG Snowman” is a pale gray creme. 2 coats.
“Frosty Camel” is a lovely cool taupe creme. 2 coats.
“Dukeberry” is a dusty deep purple creme with taupe-y undertones. 2 coats.
“Topaz’s Cabin” is a deep gray/blue that will most likely look more gray or more blue depending on your skin tone. In person, this looked more gray on me but picked up more blue in photos. This one is a bit more sheer than the others. 3 coats.
Overall: These cremes are just that, creamy. So delightful to apply and they are totally up my alley with the gorgeous dusky undertones. Nicole did a great job collabing on these! My creme polish-loving-heart is so thrilled with these.
Glisten & Glow’s CTRL-ALT-DEL latex barrier is used around the nail bed (and even sometimes on the nail!) to protect the skin while doing nail art. It’s especially great while doing gradients, splatter nails or other nail art that can get really messy. Glisten & Glow’s version of the latex barrier is great! It works really well and peels off in one fell swoop 95% of the time. If you are familiar with latex barriers, you will notice that they do have the tendency to be a bit smelly (at least from my experience.) The nice thing about this one is that while it does have a stinky smell at first, as it dries, the fishy smell dissipates and their fresh Sangria White Peach scent shines through instead. The latex barrier dries really quickly. Usually by the time I’ve done four nails, the first finger I did is practically dry, if not completely. This is pink in color but I have had no issues with it staining my skin or having any effect at all. Once you peel is up, it’s as if it was never there to begin with. I’ve been reaching for this little buddy A LOT lately! Every nail art connoisseur needs a good latex barrier!
Lastly, their delicious Sangria White Peach Cuticle Oil that smells so delightful. I could seriously just sit and huff this all day (cause that’s not weird at all!) But seriously, it smells like a fresh summer day, drinking a glass of wine and snacking on a fresh peach. It’s wonderful and I know why the scent is a fan favorite and why they’ve used it on their cuticle oil and their latex barrier. The oil itself is very hydrating and and it absorbs into the skin nicely and relatively quickly, leaving dry skin feeling supple and soft. All around, a great cuticle oil!
Glisten & Glow can be purchased on their website and this collection, as well as CTRL-ALT-DEL and the cuticle oil, are for sale now. Don’t forget to follow Glisten & Glow on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date!
