Guest Post: Ida Nails It - Gold Rose Stamping
Hi everyone! My name is Ida and I am the blogger behind Ida Nails It. I am very excited to be sharing this guest post today while Valesha is away. She is a blogger I admire a bunch, her photos are impeccable and her nail art is always creative and on point.
When deciding what I wanted to put together for this post, I didn’t have a techinique in mind. I did have a color palette that I wanted to use though, of white, mint/turquoise, and gold. When I actually sat down to work on my design, I decided to do a stamped look with a distressed base.
I started out with a white base, Cirque Carpe Diem, and let that dry completely. Then, using Essie Blossom Dandy, applied a random distressed pattern over the white. I still wanted to have peeks of white though, so I didn’t cover the white entirely.
I wanted to have something feminine and floral so I chose this rose design off of the Moyou London Pro XL Plate 10 and used a gold Munda de Unas stamping polish for the design.
And of course, I had to add a layer of matte topcoat. I especially like how the matte softens all the colors but that the metallic still has a sheen to it. What do you think of my gold rose look?
Thank you to Valesha for letting me take over for today! If you are interested in seeing more nail art and swatches from me, you can visit me here:
