Hi all! Today I have a much talked about collection from Maybelline to show you. I’m a fool for anything neon or bright and I’ve been loving the pastel neons that have come out in the past year or so, like the China Glaze Summer 2013 Collection (see them here and here.) I thought this collection might be along those lines so I had to find it! On to the swatches!
“Citrus Collide” is a bright pastel yellow creme. Pretty great formula for a yellow! I tried out 2 thick coats for this one and it covered perfectly with no streakiness or bald spots and dried nice and shiny.
“Pink Punch” is a bubblegum pink creme. I wouldn’t say this is a neon but it’s a nice pink regardless. It isn’t overtly streaky like some pinks of this nature are but it did require 3 coats to cover a couple bald patches. Dried nice and shiny and not chalky at all.
“Coral Heat” is a bright peachy coral creme. Very similar in formula to “Pink Punch”. Great color! I can’t think of anything I have that’s similar. 3 coats.
“Lime Accent” is a bright lime green creme with strong yellow undertones… almost a chartreuse color. It photographed more green than it is in real life. The formula is similar to “Pink Punch” and “Coral Heat.” 3 coats.
“Ultra Violet” is a bright lilac creme. This reminds me of China Glaze “That’s Shore Bright” from last year’s Summer Collection but this one has more pink undertones. Great formula on this one, almost a one-coater but I did 2 coats out of habit.
These might be hard to find, I haven’t seen them on any websites besides eBay and unfortunately after going to multiple stores and having no luck, I gave up trying to find a couple others that are also part of this collection, “Day Glow Teal” and “Bleached In Peach.” I’ll still be keeping my eyes peeled just because I always feel like I need the whole collection! The ones I was able to find, I tracked down at a local Rite Aid. Hopefully you guys will have luck finding these! They sure are pretty!
