Hi again! So, you probably don’t know this about me but I was raised listening to country music. In fact my first concert was the Bellamy Brothers when I was a teeny babe apparently. I’m a huge music fan in general but I love country music. So when I heard that Nicole by OPI was releasing a collection with Carrie Underwood, I was SOOOO excited! I saw her in concert in September and she is probably the best live performer I have ever seen. She hit every single note, without a hitch. She even had the little girl who was in her “See You Again” video join her on stage to sing the song! It was just awesome. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to finally get my hands on these babies!
“Color Me Country” is a candy pink with coral-y undertones. It has a crelly-like finish. It’s so juicy and yummy looking! 2 coats.
“Goodbye Shoes” is a gray creme with blue/green undertones. Ooh, it’s so smooth! Awesome formula! 2 coats.
“Backstage Pass” is a yummy cherry cola shimmered polish. Looks good enough to drink! 2 coats.
“American As Apple Pie” is a candy apple red with a very very subtle red shimmer. I was so surprised by the shimmer in this! I didn’t notice it in the bottle but on the first coat I went “OOH!” when I saw it! I love when polishes give you a surprise! I suggest using thin coats on this one! 2 coats.
“Love My Pups” is a pale, pale pink sheer. One of the delicate palette cleanser polishes! Great formula! 3 coats.
“Southern Charm” is a nude polish that leans more toward the brown side of nude. This doesn’t really suit my skin tone but I think would be perfect for people with a slightly dark skin tone than me. Great formula! 3 coats.
“Sweet Daisy” is a perfectly peach polish. It looks more pink in the bottle but appears more orange against my skintone. I like this more than I thought I would. Pretty. 2 coats.
“Lips Are Dripping Honey” is a champagne gold holographic glitter top coat. This is soooooo gorgeous. The name, the color of the glitter, the holo… SWOON! One coat over “Sweet Daisy”.
“Carnival Cotton Candy” is a bright medium pink… looks just like Pepto Bismol. 3 coats!
“Party Bus” has silver glitter in small hexes, flowers and glitter bits in a clear base. The glitter is a little difficult to get out of the bottle. I would suggest leaving the bottle upside down for a good while, which I didn’t do… oops! One coat over “Carnival Cotton Candy”.
“Some Hearts” is a coral colored crelly. Nice and squishy! 2 coats.
“Fisher Queen” is a shimmery plum polish. Goes on like a dream and is very pretty. 2 coats.
“Carrie’d Away” has gold and silver microglitter in a clear base. Pretty and sparkly all on it’s very own! 3 coats.
“Sing You Like A Bee” is a golden and white microglitter in a clear base. Pretty sure this is a dupe for OPI “Ski Slope Sweetie” so if you don’t own that one, this is a perfect alternative. 3 coats.
Nicole by OPI polishes can be purchased at a number of places including Target, WalMart, Ulta, Amazon.com and others. For a full list of retailers, click here. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
