OPI: Fall 2015 Venice Collection Swatches & Review
Ciao miei amori! Supposedly that means “hello my loves!” in Italian (accoring to Google Translate) which I thought was a fitting greeting for today’s post. I have OPI’s Venice Collection to show you!
Make sure to come back tomorrow as well. I know how much you guys like comparison posts and I will have comparisons of this collection posted for you! I know I don’t get the opportunity to post comparisons often but I try to do them for OPI polishes at least since that’s what is most often requested!
For now, check out the latest OPI pretties!
“I Cannoli Wear OPI” is a super pale gray creme. Decent formula but not the best. It evens out well in 3 coats but is slightly streaky in 2. I did 3 here.

“Amore At The Grand Canal” is a slightly blue-toned red creme. 2 coats.

“Tiramisu For Two” is a perfectly balanced nude. It’s not too pink-toned or too yellow-toned. It’s right in the middle. Great formula also. 2 coats.

“A Great Opera-tunity” is a brown-toned peachy nude creme. Do I love this or do I hate this? I’m not sure. It’s a bit old-fashioned but the creme formula makes it modern. The color isn’t one you see around very often. I kind of want to like it but it gives me slight lobster hands in real life. I just can’t decide. That aside, great formula. I’m kinda curious to see what others thing of it! 2 coats.

“Be There In A Prosecco” is a putty colored off-white creme. This may not have the greatest formula ever but I was able to get by with 2 coats using a really light hand. You may have to apply 3 depending on your application method.

“Purple Palazzo Pants” is a slightly muted lilac creme. Great formula, lovely color! 2 coats.

“Gelato on My Mind” is a pale robin’s egg blue crelly. Well if this isn’t perfection, I don’t know what is. The name, the color, the formula. I always love when paler colors are released with crelly formulas. They are still opaque enough to cover the same way as a creme but the formula is almost always better. 2 perfect coats.

“It’s A Piazza Cake” is a muted burnt sienna creme. I live for this orange. I don’t wear oranges often for some reason but I always love them on my nails. This is perfection for Autumn. I did 2 coats.

“Baroque… But Still Shopping!” is a pale gold foil with matching metallic glitter bits. I like the idea but the glitter bits make this appear chunky and weird so I can’t see myself reaching for this anytime soon. I did 2 coats.

“Worth A Pretty Penne” is a pale copper foil. This is definitely unique to my collection. Love this in a Fall collection. Great formula too. 2 coats but it’s a one-coater.
“Venice The Party?” is a bright shimmering cyan blue metallic. It’s loaded with lots of bright turquoise shimmer. This is awesome and quite unique for OPI. The formula is wonderful and so easy to use. 2 coats.

“St. Mark’s The Spot” is a vibrant deep cobalt blue metallic. Lovely color and formula but I’m afraid it may be a stainer. I’ll have to test out this theory so check back for my findings. I did 2 coats here but it’s a one-coater.

“O Suzi Mio” is a deep plum creme. Not super unique but nice formula and color. 2 coats.

“My Gondola Or Yours?” has a black creme base with lots of very fine silver shimmer. Great formula, so edgy. Love it. 2 coats.

“Gimme A Lido Kiss” has a warm red crelly base with subtle copper and red glass flecks and pink shimmer. Warm and lovely. It’s nice to have a little spiced up red for a Fall collection. 2 coats.

Which one is your favorite? Are you digging the Italian theme? What is a region you’ve always wanted OPI to name a Collection after?
Since it’s my homeland, I think it would be amazing to have a Pacific Northwest themed collection! Could you imagine, for Fall, lush greens, cloudy grays, warm golds, bold blues etc! Ok, OPI, get on this… :)
