OPI: Holiday 2016 Breakfast At Tiffany’s Collection Swatches & Review
Hi there! I’m back today with a new collection from OPI for Holiday 2016. It’s inspired by the movie Breakfast At Tiffany’s which I’m ashamed to say I have never seen. I know it’s a classic though and that a lot of people are excited about this collection. So without further ado, let’s check out the Holiday shades!
Breakfast At Tiffany’s is a pink tinged white crelly with lots of sparkling silver and golden shimmer. Really nice formula. I was expecting to have to do 3 coats but 2 coats were perfect.
I Believe In Manicures is a sky blue creme. It’s not Tiffany Blue if you were hoping for a shade close to the iconic color. Great formula. 2 coats.
Champagne For Breakfast has scattered silver holographic microglitter and shimmer in a clear base. It dries with a slightly mattefied finish and texture. I did one coat over I Believe In Manicures with top coat.
Five-And-Ten has metallic silver and pale pink shimmer and sparse champagne shimmer in a clear base. It’s sheer enough that it could be layered or you can do 3 coats alone which is what I did here.
Apartment For Two is a slightly warmed-up pink creme. Perfect pink, really nice formula. 2 coats.
Sunrise… Bedtime! has pale pink holographic microglitter in a clear base. Great formula here. One coat over Apartment For Two.
Fire Escape Rendezvous is a matte warm red metallic with red shimmer, glitter bits and shreds. I did 2 coats alone to show off the matte effect but I prefer it with top coat as it evens out the chunky glitter pieces.
Meet My “Decorator” is a super warm red creme. So much so that it might appear orange depending on your skin tone. I get vibes of both depending on the lighting. I did 2 coats but it’s a one-coater.
Black Dress Not Optional is silver microshimmered black creme. Nice formula. 2 coats.
Got The Mean Reds is a red creme. Leaning just slightly warm but closer to a true red. I did 2 coats.
Can’t Read Without My Lipstick is an oxblood red creme with strong brown undertones. It’s a bit thin, so thin coats work best to prevent pooling. 2 coats.
Rich & Brazilian has a black cherry base packed with magenta and red shimmer and flecks. 2 coats.
Overall: After the amazingness that was the Fall Collection this collection seems pretty meh to me. I’m sorry to say it but not a one is something that’s stands out. Don’t get me wrong, they are all great staples and have nice formulas but I’m just finding it very, very boring. That said, if you don’t have shades like the ones in this collection, I think you will really enjoy these!
