OPI: Summer 2014 Neon Collection Swatches & Review
Hello wonderful people! Today I have OPI’s Neon Collection to show you. This is a really exciting collection because it’s the first time OPI has released neon polishes in full sizes! If I had it my way they would ONLY release neons in full sizes because neons are the best!
“Life Gave Me Lemons” is a bright yellow/green creme. It has definite green tones to it so I wouldn’t qualify it as a “lemon” shade as the name would suggest. Regardless, super fun and summery color! Gorgeous. Decent formula. A touch streaky on the first 2 coats but the third coat covers it nicely. I did 3 coats over “Put A Coat On!” base coat on index and middle fingers and 3 coats alone on ring and pinkie fingers. I didn’t notice a color difference from using the base coat.
“You’re So Outta Lime!” is a bright medium green crelly. It’s bright but somehow still has a muted-ness to it. Gorgeous and interesting shade of green. Nice formula. 3 coats over “Put A Coat On!” base coat on index and middle fingers and 3 coats alone on ring and pinkie fingers. There was a noticeable difference when this one was used over the base coat. It’s a bit more vibrant over the base coat.

“Down To The Core-al” is a hot coral with hot pink shimmer. Awesome awesome awesome! I think this would be my favorite of the collection! Great formula. 3 coats over “Put A Coat On!” base coat on index and middle fingers and 3 coats alone on ring and pinkie fingers. The difference over the base coat is minor.

“Hotter Than You Pink” is a hot pink jelly with electric blue shimmer. Such a pretty Barbie color! Again, great formula. 3 coats over “Put A Coat On!” base coat on index and middle fingers and 3 coats alone on ring and pinkie fingers. This one was quite a bit more vibrant over the base coat!

“Juice Bar Hopping” is a vibrant orange jelly. I love the name of this first of all! Second of all, it’s so pretty and it looks like orange Fanta! 3 coats over “Put A Coat On!” base coat on index and middle fingers and 3 coats alone on ring and pinkie fingers. This one is a bit more vibrant over the base coat.

“Push & Pur-Pull” is a red toned purple jelly. This one isn’t too neon but is on the bright side of the purple spectrum. Pretty color. 3 coats over “Put A Coat On!” base coat on index and middle fingers and 3 coats alone on ring and pinkie fingers. This takes on a darker appearance when it’s not worn over the base coat.
