Zoya: Winter/Holiday 2014 Wishes Collection Swatches & Review

Provided For Review

Happy lazy Sunday! Today I have Zoya’s Holiday and Winter collection to show you!

“Prim” is a wintery shade of blue with a lovely dustiness to it in a metallic finish. The shade of blue is just beautiful, it almost has a periwinkle tone to it. There is slightly noticeable brush strokes like some metallics can have but not bad. I did 2 coats but it’s a definite one-coater.

Pacifica: Holiday Red Trio + Heart Of Gold Swatches & Review

Provided For Review

Hi guys! I hope you are all having a very lovely and relaxing Saturday!

Today, I have a new-to-me brand of polish called Pacifica! The first thing that caught my eye about these polishes was that they are not 3-Free, not 4-Free but 7-FREE, meaning the polishes have no phthalates, toluene, xylene, parabens, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and no testing on animals. They’re also 100% vegan. That’s pretty impressive, considering the fact that I’ve heard making polish can be difficult without all the typical ingredients. The big question on my mind was, will the formulas still stack up with some of the awesome brands that are out there? Let’s take a look…

“Cinnamon Girl” is a bright red creme. Up to par with some of the best reds out there. Very pretty and excellent formula. 2 coats.

Deborah Lippmann: I’ve Gotta Be Me Mini Set Swatches & Review

Provided For Review

Hi there and happy Friday! Let me tell you, I need this weekend so bad! Every since Daylight Savings, my internal clock is not my friend and I’ve been so sleepy! I can’t wait to sleep in, be cozy and do nothing. :)

Today I have another mini set from Deborah Lippmann for you. This time, it’s a set of 6 mini polishes which were released for their 15th anniversary celebration!

“You’ve Got A Friend” is a gorgeous mauve-nude creme. I have pinky nudes, brown nudes, true nudes but nothing quite like this with pinky/purpley undertones. I’m going to need this in a full size. Amazing. I love the name too… I can’t help but sing the Toy Story song every time I see the name even though it’s named after a James Taylor song! 2 coats.

Girly Bits: A Twinkle In Time Swatches & Review

Hola lovelies! It’s now time to show you Girly Bits’ contribution to the December “A Box, Indied”. If you haven’t heard of this box, it’s a monthly box from Llarowe with a select number of items that are exclusive to “A Box, Indied” and not available through other channels. Onwards to this sparkling beauty!

“A Twinkle In Time” has loads of sparkling silver microglitter that is muddled with jewel toned microglitters and strong pink shimmer in a clear base. The silver is a little darker than it appears here. I don’t know what my camera’s problem is lately, sometimes it just decides to photograph brighter even though I didn’t change my settings. This is absolutely gorgeous. I didn’t even realize there would be pink shimmer in here until I put on the first coat. It really makes it unique and makes it stand out as well. Amazing formula. I did 2 coats.

Laquerlicious: Christmas 2014 Collection Swatches & Review

Provided For Review

Hi guys! I don’t know what it is but I’ve been really in the Christmas spirit lately. It’s especially unusual for me because I normally don’t start getting excited until after Thanksgiving. It must be the mixture of all the pretty holiday collections coming out, the crispy about-to-snow feeling the air has right now in the Pacific Northwest and all of the holiday stuff popping up in shops already. I just can’t wait for December to be here.

Staying in the holiday mood, I have another holiday collection for you today. A Christmas Collection from Laquerlicious to be exact!

“Peppermint Twist” has mostly red glitter with a light sprinkling of green glitter in a white crelly base. There is also a subtle golden and pink shimmer in here. Christmas perfection in a bottle! And the name, I love it! Amazing formula, adorable polish. 2 coats.

OPI: Comparisons - Holiday 2014 Gwen Stefani Collection

Ask and you shall receive! I was asked by many to compare some of the OPI’s from the Holiday 2014 Collection with some other polishes in my stash.

I’ve chosen 3 polishes for each photo that look closest to the polish from the OPI Holiday 2014 collection. I did this for all except the glitters because there was nothing even close to those to compare them to! If you don’t see a comparison that you had hoped to see, ask me in the comments about it and if I have the polish, I will let you know what the differences were from rummaging through my stash. Hope this will help you in your quest for dupedom! :)

2 coats of each (from pointer to pinkie): Rescue Beauty Lounge “Recycle”, OPI “Christmas Gone Plaid”, Dolce & Gabbana “Wild Green” and Essie “Stylenomics”. Recycle, CGP and WG are very very close. Recycle is just a bit warmer toned but CGP and WG are dead on dupes colorwise which is great news because as much as I love WG, it stains horribly. Stylenomics is much cooler and darker.
