Hi lovely people! Today I have February’s The Holo Hookup indie collaboration box to share with you! The theme for February’s box is The Elements and the guest indie brand is Takko Lacquer! If you can believe it, this Takko Lacquer is my first ever. Pretty crazy right! I’ve heard so many great things about the brand so as usual, I couldn’t wait to try it out! Let’s check out this fabulous quartet!
Cupcake Polish “Air” (Libra, Aquarius & Gemini) has a periwinkle blue base with a linear holographic effect and a strong pink shimmer. Gorgeous! The pink sheen didn’t show up too well in my photos but believe me, it’s there and it’s obvious! Such an amazing formula. I couldn’t have picked a better polish for my zodiac sign (Gemini!) 2 coats but it’s practically a one-coater.
Glisten & Glow “Fire” (Aries, Leo & Sagittarius) is a warm red linear holo with pinky undertones and gorgeous blue sparks. The holographic effect is super intense. Absolutely gorgeous. 2 perfect coats.
Different Dimension “Earth” (Taurus, Virgo & Capricorn) is a warm brown with a strong gold metallic shimmer and a linear holographic effect. It has a touch of an olive undertone, especially at certain angles. So stunning! DD does brown shades so well, I love every one they put out. 2 coats.
Takko Lacquer “Water” (Pisces, Cancer & Scorpio) has a pretty turquoise base with a strong golden shimmer and a scattered holographic effect. Good formula, a little on the thin side but using thin coats makes it come out perfectly. I did 3 here. You could probably get by with 2 but I wanted it a bit more opaque and 3 was the charm.
