Candy Lacquer: Holiday 2014 Collection + Hot Spots & Social Circles Swatches & Review
Hi all! Today I have some Candy Lacquer beauties to show you. These are more like their traditional style, and what I’ve always loved them for…. glitter toppers! Of course, they are mostly holiday themed but also candy themed so, yeah, I bet you can guess what my thoughts will be. :) Without further ado…
“Cupcake Blizzard” has pastel aqua, pastel mint, white, pastel teal, silver and bright but pale medium pink, lilac and sky blue glitter and a sprinkle of holographic shimmer in a clear base. This is so adorable! I love the bright yet pale glitters especially. Darling. One coat over Habit Cosmetics “Bardot”.
“Bunny Lights” has a rainbow of bright but pastel glitter with a pearly finish in a clear base. This is adorable. It is so fun to see in Winter and it will be great for those typical Spring manis too. I love this one so much! I did one coat over Zoya “Willa”.
“Santa’s Sweet Shoppe” is adorable. It has red, green, white, dark green, holographic silver and that bright but pastel glitter in a rainbow of shades in a clear base. This is so unique and so darn adorable. The glitter mix is perfect. I did one coat over China Glaze “Grass Is Lime Greener”.
“Unicorn Tree” has mostly neon green glitters mixed with those bright pastel glitters in a rainbow of colors. This has LOADS of stars that were surprisingly easy to get out of the bottle! This is so fun for the Holidays! I did one coat over Habit Cosmetics “Kitten”.
“Penguin Presents” has mostly black and white squares and rectangles mixed with bright but pastel squares in a rainbow of shades in a clear base. There are also some sparse white snowflakes in here (I was able to get one out with no fishing required) and it comes with a little baggie of the snowflakes as well. This reminds me of CL’s “Pixel Party” from a while back which I loved so of course, I love this one too. I did one coat over China Glaze “Thistle Do Nicely” and placed a few loose snowflakes on top as well.
“Social Circles” has cyan, lilac and lime circular glitters in a clear base. This is adorable. It does require some dabbing but it’s worth the hassle. I did one dabbed coat over Zoya “Blu”.
“Hot Spots” has yellow, chartreuse, coral, pink and orange bright but pastel glitters in a clear base. The colors in here are amazing! Same formulation as “Social Circles” so I would recommend dabbing it. I did one dabbed coat over OPI “Skull & Glossbones”.
I love that this isn’t a typical group of Holiday/Winter polishes and yet, it still works well! They are so cute! It’s kind of nice to see something that is different from what everyone else is doing for the Holidays. I adore them all but if I had to pick favorites, I’d choose “Bunny Lights”, “Santa’s Sweet Shoppe” and “Hot Spots”. Wonderful!
This collection will be available for purchase on November 1st on Candy Lacquer’s website so mark your calendars! Don’t forget to also follow Candy Lacquer on Facebook for shops news!
