China Glaze: Summer 2016 Lite Brites Collection Swatches & Review
It’s Friday y’all! And do I have a doozy of a post for you! This post is sure to cheer up any polish lovin’ lady or fella! I was happy when I received them, I was happy just looking at them, I was happy when I swatched them and I was happy editing and now posting them! It’s the China Glaze Lite Brites Collection. Let me tell ya… China Glaze has been reppin’ this year. This collection is just icy on the glorious cake!
Now before we get started with the swatches, I must warn you, these are neon so my camera had the camera-equivalent to a panic attack. These may not be 100% color accurate but I did my best! I started color correcting them but they just looked dumb and still not accurate so I left them as is. I hope you enjoy!
“Whip It Good” is a bright neon banana yellow creme. It’s not a highlighter yellow but still super bright. It’s beautiful! And dudes, the formula. Incredible. 2 coats is perfect and it dries super shiny.
“Lime After Lime” is a bright neon pastel-y green creme. Again, not highlighter status but lovely and bright! I can’t even believe how great the formula is. It’s practically a one-coater, if you can believe that! I did 2 here.
“None Of Your Risky Business” is a neon macaroni and cheese colored creme. Ok, I’m just going to keep being a broken record during this post, cause this is amazing as well! I did 2 coats.
“Lip Smackin’ Good” is a coral-y neon bubblegum pink with lots of pink and gold shimmer. Stunning Summer shade. Perfect formula. 2 coats.
“Let’s Jam” is a dusty medium purple creme with a delicate blue shimmer. Super creamy formula. Gorgeous shade. 2 coats.
“I’ll Pink To That” is a bright Barbie pink creme. Stunning. Great formula once again. 2 coats.
“Bite Me” is an intensely bright watermelon shade with a strong gold shimmer. I didn’t think it would be but this is probably my favorite! It’s the epitome of a Summer color! 2 coats but it’s a one-coater.
“What I Like About Blue” is a bright aqua creme with strong gold shimmer. Whoo! Another absolute beauty! And so opaque! 2 coats.
“I Got A Blue Attitude” is a blurple creme with an ever so slight blue shimmer. You can barely see the shimmer except in certain lighing but the polish is beautiful either way! 2 coats but again, a one-coater.
“Hot Flash” is a super warm-toned, cherry red crelly. Perfect red for Summer! Lovely formula. 2 coats.
“We Got The Beet” is a pretty grape purple jelly with iridescent copper glitter and shimmer. I saw others mention this and the next polish are textures, they didn’t seem very textured to me. Maybe a touch gritty but barely. Either way it’s so pretty! A little on the sheer side so you could see VNL but I didn’t mind it. This is 2 coats plus the usual coat of top coat.
“Papa Don’t Peach” has a neon red-y orange jelly base with iridescent copper glitter and shimmer. Similar in formula to “We Got The Beet”. I did a third coat here so you can see how it builds up and there is still just slight VNL.
Like I said at the beginning. CRUSHED IT! There is not a rotten apple in the bunch. They just scream Summer! I’m heading to California for the weekend and I’m going to be wearing one of these, just not sure which one to pick yet!
