China Glaze: Summer 2015 Electric Nights Collection Swatches & Review
Hi guys! I’m so excited for today’s post! I have China Glaze’s Summer collection to show you! I always look forward to China Glaze’s Summer collection because they are usually my favorite. :) Let’s take a look!
“Glow With The Flow” is a vibrant cool-toned pink crelly. My favorite kind of pink! So perfect! :) Depending on how you apply it, it could take 2 or 3 coats to get to opacity. I did 2 coats here.
“Red-y To Rave” is a crelly and it’s probably the closest thing to neon red that you’ll ever get but is more of a neon orange. It’s extremely vibrant! This reminds me of one of my most favorite neons of all time, Model’s Own “Hedonist”! So yes, I love it. Great formula too! It’s a little on the thick side, in a good way and even though it’s neon, it does dry pretty shiny! I did 2 coats here.
“Daisy Know My Name?” is an eye-searing neon yellow. As with most neon yellows, it’s hard to get to opacity. If you expect opacity, I would suggest using a white creme polish as undies. I did 3 coats here and there is slight VNL. Nice formula though! Easy to control.
“DJ Blue My Mind” is a bright cerulean blue crelly. Perfect and gorgeous! Great for Summer. 2 coats.
“UV Meant To Be” is a beautiful clear sky blue creme. Awesome. 2 coats.
“PLUR-ple” is a cool-toned medium purple crelly. Most excellent! Great color, great formula. 2 coats.
“Home Sweet House Music” is a neon mac n’ cheese (mmm, mac n’ cheese!) yellowy orange crelly. I love the way shades like this make me look like a have a tan. Love this one, great formula! 2 coats.
“Treble Maker” is a vibrant neon shamrock green crelly. Perfect and beautiful shade of green. Not a typical neon green which makes it stand out in my mind. 2 coats.
“Violet-Vibes” is a bright warm-toned purple crelly. Great color and formula again! I did 2 coats.
“Point Me To The Party” has a rainbow of neon glitter in a clear base. Flippin’ awesome! Ahhhh! I’m in love. 2 coats over white.
“Let The Beat Drop” has neon pink, neon orange and neon purple in a clear base. The base does have a very very slight pink tinge to it which leads me to think that some of the glitters may be starting to bleed? Don’t take my word for it, but we’ll see how it turns out a ways down the road. I do love it though, so let’s hope that’s not the case! 2 coats over white.
“Can I Get An Untz Untz” has neon green, neon blue and neon purple glitter in a clear base. It’s awesome seeing a mainstream brand come to the indie side. This is a great! I did 2 coats over white.
Overall, I love this collection! I love the formula, the inspiration and the colors! I really enjoy the crelly formulations CG has been coming out with lately. It’s like my dream formula for polishes! The fact that you can get to opacity (or close to it) with such ease and squishy-ness makes my heart go pitter-patter! This collection is a total win in my book!
