Jordana Cosmetics: Spring 2015 Makeup Swatches & Review
Hi guys! Today I have some makeup to show you from Jordana Cosmetics! I hope you enjoy something a little different for today’s post!
First up are the Color Tint Blush Sticks. The formula is really creamy and light and it dries with a nice finish. My favorite part is that they smell like roses which is one of my favorite scents. I’ll definitely be wearing these in my future.

Next we have the Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer & Foundation. The coverage on these is great, it really did work well for my under-eye redness/darkness. But I did have a couple issues with these. 1) It remained tacky on my face for a while even with translucent powder on top. I did notice after maybe an hour that the tackiness subsided though. 2) None of these really matched my skin tone very well. I have been told by people at Sephora that my skintone is pretty unique, there aren’t many foundations that match it. So it could just be me but they were all too yellow, green or orange toned for me. My closest match was Creamy Natural. I didn’t wear these for longer than about 5 or 6 hours because I don’t use full coverage foundation on a day-to-day basis but in that time, I felt the staying power was pretty good!

Now the Modern Matte Lipsticks are what I was most excited for. Day-to-day I tend to do the same makeup (mainly because I never have time to do anything else before work!) so when I do end up doing something fancy, lipstick is always my favorite part. And these are awesome. So buttery and yet the stay-factor is superb. They also weren’t drying despite having a matte finish. I wore one of these on a double-date night and didn’t have to reapply it once and it looks great at the end of the night. Very impressed with these and such a wide variety of colors.

The Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stains were another product I was excited to try. I love these sorts of lippies for a simple and understated pop of color and these did the trick perfectly. Just a dash of color without a sticky or thick feeling.
The Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Gloss on the other hand was something I wasn’t too excited about. As much as I love the look of glossy lips, for me it’s just not practical and I end up worrying the whole time that my pout looks a hot mess so glosses are pretty much always a no-go for me. I’ll still keep this around in the future, *just in case* but I doubt I’ll use it much, if at all. It is a bit sticky, like glosses tend to be but really not as bad as other glosses I have. If you are a person who likes glosses, you might like this!

Next up, Easyliner for Eyes Retractable Pencils. I love the retractable function. While they are smooth and creamy and really nice to apply, they don’t have great staying power or color payoff. They smeared quite easily and I had trouble getting them to opacity.

The Easyliner for Lips Retractable Pencils on the other hand, I quite liked. In combination with lipstick, they don’t get that same smear factor as the eyeliners. Wonderfully creamy pencils.

Onto the brow products. I’m pretty picky when it comes to brow products because to me, Anastasia Beverly Hills products are unmatched in formulation and application but I think for a lower budget product, these FabuBrow Pencils are pretty good. They definitely have a nice texture and you won’t be ripping your skin off trying to apply these because they are soft yet hard enough to not whither under pressure. But I will still be sticking with my Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil.

And lastly, here is a look I did for a date night using some of the products from this Spring line from Jordana including the Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer & Foundation in Creamy Natural and Golden Toffee (for some light contouring), Modern Matte Lipstick in Matte Caliente and FabuBrow Pencil in Midnight brown. Sorry, it’s just an iPhone picture so not the best quality. :P
