KBShimmer: Winter 2015 Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! I have a large fabulous post to share with you this fine Tuesday! All of the polishes today come from KBShimmer and are part of their brand spankin’ new Winter Collection! Let’s take a look!

“How Corn-y” has red, lime, yellow, gold, purple, bronze, burgundy and brown glitter in a very warm-toned tan crelly base. I didn’t think I would love this as much as I do but it’s the perfect Fall polish. 2 coats.

“Smoke Signal” has a soft gray crelly base with turquoise, orange, red and silver glitter. Love the color combo! 2 coats.

“Brrr-tiful Dreamer” has gray, aqua, purple and magenta glitter in a dusky medium purple crelly base. Nobody does a polish like this quite like KBShimmer. Perfect in 2 coats.

“Fleece Navidad” has a pale gray crelly base with a subtle but linear holographic effect and lots of purple and blue sparks. Just gorgeous. I only hope that KBShimmer will do more polishes like this. I could imagine something like this but with an icy pale blue base. Lovely. 2 coats.

“Owl Miss You” has a warm taupe crelly base with gold shimmer and green, gold and bronze flakies. Beautiful and perfect. 2 coats.

“Kind Of A Big Dill” has a squishy dark green jelly base with holographic golden shimmer and glitter. This is along the lines of some of my fave KBShimmers like “Carpe Denim“, “A Raisin To Live” and “Witch Way?“. As far as I’m concerned, KBShimmer can just keep these comin’. I’d be up for a pretty pink for Spring. :) I did 2 coats here but you could do 3 for even more depth.

“For Fox Sake” is a muted orange creme with slight pink undertones. There was never a more perfect shade of orange or a more perfect formula. It’s a one-coater but I did 2 here out of habit.

“Toying Around” had yellow, red, cyan, pink, light blue, white, green, black, marigold and periwinkle glitter with a subtle amount of holographic shimmer in a clear base. This is just like a big basket of toys. One coat over “For Fox Sake”.

“Yule Worthy” is a brownish aubergine with tons of golden and silver shimmer, flakes and microglitter. This was impressive from the first brushstroke. 2 coats.

“Oh Holo Night” has holographic silver and blue hexes and stars mixed with silver holographic shimmer in a clear base. I left it upside down for a good long while so getting the stars out was not too hard but it might be difficult if it’s been sitting right side up for a while. The stars are tiny so they lay very flat and a coat of top coat leaves it nice and smooth. I ended up doing 2 coats over KBShimmer “In Yacht Water” to make it extra glittery.

“sELFie” has mostly shades of holographic green glitter mixed with holographic silver, gold and red glitter in a clear base. Effortless formula. Seriously perfect for Christmas. One coat over Cirque Colors “McKittrick”.

“Coal In One” is a charcoal colored linear holo with a warm sheen. Buttery and smooth. 2 coats.

“Claws And Effect” is a dark navy with slight purple undertones and a linear holo effect with beautiful purple and blue sparks. I was surprised at how much you could see the lovely little sparkles. Beautiful. 2 coats.

“Chilly Pepper” is a creamy medium red creme. I love a good red creme; this one is fabulous. 2 effortless coats.

I also paired “Chilly Pepper” with a water decal from KBShimmer. This set comes with puppies and kittens in santa suits! So cute! I still need a bit of practice with these. If I’m being honest, this was my second try! The first one was a mess. I got it the second time around.

Then I took it a bit further and did some stamping too! I’m trying to get more practice in and I love how this turned out! I used UberChic Plate UC 1-01 and Rica “Whiteout” for the stamping.
