Nine Zero Lacquer: Thanksgiving Trio & 2015 Holiday Collection Swatches & Review
Happy Wednesday! I have a double feature for you today! 2 collections from a new-to-my-blog brand called Nine Zero Lacquer! This brand was created by Jessica who runs the YouTube channel JessFace90 which is just phenomenal and fabulous and a must-watch for any nail polish aficionado. Since she herself reviews nail polish, I figured she’d have a great eye for her own brand and I was excited to try out her creations.
With Thanksgiving being just over a week away from today, I figured there is no better time than now to share with you a collection inspired by turkey day! So first up, Nine Zero Lacquer’s Thanksgiving Trio!
“Cranberry Sauced” has orange and red holographic microglitter in a red jelly base. This is such a beautiful, sparkly gem and with a great formula to boot. It’s wonderful for heading into the holidays. 3 coats but 2 would suffice.
“Turkey Coma” is a copper linear holographic. Fabulous formula. Not too thick or thin, just perfect and easy to apply on the nail. 2 coats but it’s a one coater.
“Stuffed” has holographic gold, orange and silver microglitter mixed with gold and burgundy glitter in a clear base. Absolutely gorgeous. So sparkly. You could get this opaque on it’s own in a few coats but I decided to do one coat over Polish My Life “Vail”. (You can see how it looks on its own over on Kellie Gonzo’s blog.)
For the second half of this post, I have Nine Zero Lacquer’s Holiday Collection! Let’s get right to it!
“Stocking Stuffer” has white, green, red, silver and gold glitter in a clear base and it’s accented with some sheer iridescent glitters. Perfect Christmas glitter topper. It has a great formula and glitter pickup. One coat over Colors By Llarowe “Devilish”.
“Cat In The Christmas Tree” has holographic gold and green microglitter and shimmer in a medium green crelly base. Absolutely stunning and it has a perfect formula. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better formula. 2 coats.
“Santa Suit” has a warm red jelly base with holographic red and gold microglitter. A subdued sparkler, if that’s even possible. The glitters lie sparkling underneath like a jewel. 2 coats.
“Star On Top” has holographic gold microglitter in a clear base. This is one that could probably be opaque on its own but I decided to layer it. It would also be great for a glitter gradient! I did one coat over Cirque Colors “Topless In Times Square”.
“Twinkle Lights” has sheer but bold glitter in an array of colors packed into a linear holographic silver base. Well this is just fabulous! So clever and executed perfectly. The glitter doesn’t overwhelm the holo and vice versa, they just perfectly compliment each other. 2 coats.
“A Peculiar Star” has shimmering blue microglitter in a sapphire blue jelly base. The way the glitter shines from beneath the base is just spectacular. Seriously gorgeous. 2 coats.
“Sparkle All The Things!” is a delicate holographic silver topper. Much like CG’s “Fairy Dust” it gives you a sweet sweep of sparkle. Perfect. I’ll be getting a lot of use out of this. One coat over Colors By Llarowe “Emerald Isle”.
“Sparkle All The Things! (Gold)” is a delicate holographic gold topper. Again similar to CG’s “Fairy Dust” but gold and glorious. I did one coat over OPI “Skyfall”.
Lastly a fun and glittery nail art look! I used “A Peculiar Star” as the base and created little glittery star decals using “Star On Top”. You may remember a couple years ago I did a guest post for Kellie Gonzo‘s blog and I did a tutorial on how to create these little star decals. You can check it out here. This time, I’ve upgraded from using a plastic bag to using my UberChic Mat to create them but everything else is just the same. :)
From the first swipe, I was impressed by this brand. You’d think they had been around for years. Great inspiration, color palette, formula and aesthetic. I can’t wait to see what else they have in store!
Nine Zero Lacquer can be purchased on their website. Both of these collections are being restocked today, November 18th at 8AM PST so make sure you head on over to get your bottles! Make sure you keep an eye on their Facebook page for restock information in the future as well!
