Zoya: Spring 2014 Awaken & Monet Collection Swatches & Review

Hello lovelies! Today I have another bunch of pretty Springy polishes to show you! It’s the second collection from Zoya for Spring 2014! If you missed out on the first collection, you can check it out here (and you aren’t going to want to check it out!) Now, onto the swatches!

“Dillon” is like a Springy version of Zoya “Zuza” which is a polish I just adore! “Dillon” is a minty green polish with hints of aqua and a strong metallic silver and gold shimmer. I adore this one. 2 coats.

Zoya Dillon | Spring 2014 Awaken Collection | Peachy Polish

“Dot” is a semi-sheer blue toned baby pink. Not the best formula unfortunately. It was hard to get it evened out even with a ridge filling base coat and using multiple coats. I did 3 coats and there were still some bald spots.

Zoya Dot | Spring 2014 Awaken Collection | Peachy Polish

“Monet” is an iridescent glitter polish with a super sheer pink base. This is nice. I do feel liked we’ve seen it before though. It’s a little thick and on the sticky side. One dabbed coat over KBShimmer “Eclipse”.

“Cole” is a perfectly cantaloupe colored creme! I really love this one! Makes me want to nom on some cantaloupe! The formula is a little bit troublesome at first but evens out nicely after 3 coats.

“Brooklyn” is a gold frost with subtle gold and silver shimmer. So, I have to be completely honest… this is ugly. I really don’t like it. Not only is it brush-strokey but it’s also very dated looking. The shade of gold is super unflattering on me as well. I did 2 coats.

Zoya Brooklyn | Spring 2014 Awaken Collection | Peachy Polish

“Rebel” is another polish reminiscent of those Summer 2012 Zoyas! “Rebel” is a pretty sky blue with glitter and silver shimmer! This one is great! Super pretty with a fantastic formula! 2 coats.

“Hudson” is a a pretty purple with gold and silver shimmer! Again, with a formula just like the Summer 2012 Zoyas! Love this one too! 2 coats.

Zoya polishes can be purchased on their website and at Ulta, as well as a lot of other E-tailers and retailers! Zoya puts on some great promotions so make sure you follow them on Instagram and Facebook to keep tabs on the deals!

Rebel looks great on you, though I am not the biggest fan of the finish.

Dillon and Hudson are my favorites from this collection. I especially love Hudson because purple is my favorite and that one is so pretty.

This collection is basically the definition of a ‘mixed bag’. ‘Brooklyn’ looks really nineties to me! Such an odd colour for Zoya to include in the collection… But ‘Rebel’, ‘Hudson’ and ‘Dillon’! Zoya have struck gold with those colours. (Struck a nice kind of gold, I mean. Not ‘Brooklyn’ gold. No one needs more of that.) And, on a general note, thanks for all of the work you put into this blog! Peachy Polish is my favourite nail blog, and your posts always put me in a good mood. (Not just because of the pretty swatches; I also love to read what you think of each polish.) Anyway. I just wanted to thank you for making me happy!
