Aloha my dears! Today I have the Bond Girls Liquid Sand Collection from OPI. As I’ve said in the past, all these textured polishes have really caught me by surprise. I am so obsessed! I was extremely excited when I heard about this collection and for the most part OPI hit the nail on the head!
“Honey Ryder” is a pale gold textured polish with sparse silver and champagne microglitter. 2 coats but it barely needed 2. This is so luxe!
“Jinx” is an amazing shimmering orange textured polish with slight pink undertones and electric gold and red microglitter. Absolutely fabulous. No question, my fave. I literally could not take my eyes off of it. Glorious! 2 coats but once again it barely needed 2!
“Pussy Galore” is a pale pink textured polish with metallic bubblegum pink microglitter. I was worried this one would be frosty but to my surprise, it dried more metallic looking than frosty! 2 coats.
“Solitaire” is a white liquid sand with very sparse black microglitter. This has pale silver undertones. It’s also another one I feared would be frosty and although it had a bit of frostiness to it, I still really liked it! This is somewhat sheer compared to the others so I used 3 coats here.
“Tiffany Case” is an icy Cinderella blue liquid sand with aqua microglitter. My second favorite but I’m so disappointed with how badly it stains. :( I was able to get the stains off using THIS tutorial although I really hate buffing my nails because they are so thin so I just did it lightly and used some Sally Hansen “Instant Cuticle Remover” which really helps with stains too! I would make sure to use at least 2 coats of base coat. You will still get stainage but at least it helps 2 coats here.
“Vesper” has a muddy purple textured base with black microglitter. Really not a fan of this. It has the potential to be awesome but they missed the mark. Too bad since this collection is superb otherwise! 3 coats.
OPI polishes can be purchased at Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret and Ulta as well as a lot of other retailers and online (I like AveYou.com.) Are you guys loving textured polishes as much as I am?!
