Candy Lacquer: Valentine’s Day 2013 Collection

Hi guys! I have a ton of Candy Lacquers to show you from their 2013 Valentine’s Day Collection. I’m going to keep this short and sweet since it’s very picture heavy. They are all glitter polishes in a clear base. They are all thick because they are loaded with glitter but not unworkable. If you don’t like thick polishes, you could probably add a bit of thinner to help it out. And please bare with me on these photos. I was testing out something with my light box to see if it would help with the glare so this is kind of my test post to see which are better. Most are taken with the softer lighting (less glare) and 2 were taken the regular way. One of these pictures I also have shorties because I swatched and never posted. Let’s just call this the mixing pot post. Just know that all of these are utterly fabulous. I’m a big Candy Lacquer fan!

“Candy Kisses”… 1 coat over OPI “Tomorrow Never Dies.” In real life this is so freakin’ holo! Holy cannoli!

“Cold Hearted”… 1 coat over Essie “Nothing Else Metals.” I sincerely apologize for this swatch. Not my best work. The polishes apart are great but together + my light box trial = fail.

“Crazy Love”… 1 coat over Deborah Lippmann “Groove Is In The Heart.” Crazy mix of matte glitter!

“Garden Of Love”… 1 coat over Rescue Beauty Lounge “Recycle.” Another one that is so holo in real life! And the glitter color is amazing… bordering chartreuse!

“Love-ly Lavender”… 1 coat over OPI “Lucky Lucky Lavender.” One of my faves! This one is holo as well although it’s more subtle than “Garden of Love.”

“Love Rocks”… 1 coat over Butter London “Artful Dodger.” Love it! Holo glitter in here as well bust mostly matte.

“Love You To The Moon & Back”… 1 coat over Nicole by OPI “One Big Happy Fame-ily.” First of all I love the name! Reminds me of my Aunt! ♥ And the mixture of glitter is adorable. I don’t even mind the moons…

“Rubies & Hearts”… 1 coat over OPI “Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!” This is the holo-est of all the holo! Strictly a red glitter so any other colored part is just the holo coming through! Super intense in person.

“Sea Of Love”… 1 coat over OPI “Wooden Shoe Like To Know?” I keep singing the Cat Power cover of “Sea Of Love” when I see this polish. Love that song! Turquoise and red holo glitter here. That’s all you need to know! ♥

“Sweet Hearts”… 1 coat over NCLA “Don’t Call Me Peachy!” (review for that coming soon.) I loved this combo like no ones business. Pearly glitter in this!

“Valentine Dots”… 2 coats over OPI “My Boyfriend Scales Walls.” Circular Valentine themed glitter! YES!

“Valentine’s Night”… 1 coat over Sation “Hot 4 Teacher.” Red and black matte glitter here. A dark, dreery and fab glitter for V-day!

“Vintage Valentine”… 1 coat over OPI “Don’t Pretzel My Buttons.” Another of my faves from the collection. So pretty!

Candy Lacquer can be purchased on their website! I believe they are restocking tomorrow morning so if you want any of these, now is the time! She may not be restocking these for much longer, if at all! Don’t forget to also follow Candy Lacquer on Facebook for shops news!

I love Candy Lacquer! Your wonderful swatches are making me sad that I missed out on Vintage Valentine and Sea of Love. And why didn’t I buy Garden of Love? You’ve just created more lemmings :).

The light is in the lightbox. It’s part of it. This is the kind of light box I have… http://www.ebay.com/itm/Photography-Light-Box-Kit-LS-Photo-Pro-Studio-Multi-Photo-tent-Lighting-LS20-/170813427823?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27c546106f
