Double Stamp All The Nails
Hi guys! I’m back today with a link-up with some fabulous ladies! We are part of a group called Paint All The Nails and once a month we choose a theme and then get to work creating our designs. This time around double stamping won the vote. Being new to the stamping game, this was not the idea I voted for but what good is this link-up if not to push us into trying new and exciting things! I must admit, I was THISCLOSE to chickening out and not participating. So shameful, but I ended up pulling it together at the last second. :)
Today we are sharing our double stamping designs with all of you! Make sure you visit all the ladies’ blogs at the end and check out what they came up with!
After perusing my limited supply of stamping plates, I decided to go with a lattice design and a rose design which I think complement each other very well. Growing up, we had lots of lattice and red roses in our yard so naturally, this mani ended up reminding me of my childhood home which in turn gave me all the feels. Oh to be a kid again.
I started out with a base of Deborah Lippmann “Naked” which is one of my all time favorite nude polishes. Once that was dry, I used Bundle Monster plate BM-315 with Rescue Beauty Lounge “A Lonely House” and used my Creative Shop Stamper to stamp the lattice design on my nails. After that was also finished drying, I used Bundle Monster plate BM-323 and Rescue Beauty Lounge “Sanguine” to stamp the roses on top. I then topped off the entire design with KBShimmer “Clearly On Top” top coat, as always.
Not too shabby for my first double stamping venture! I really love the way it turned out and the nude with brown lattice would also be great for a cute little ice cream cone mani! I’ll need to remember that once the warm weather rolls around again!
Make sure to check out my previous Paint All The Nails posts, here and here!
All of the ladies that are a part of the Paint All The Nails group are extremely talented and I urge you to check out their posts as well and spread the love! They are just fabulous!
Rescue Beauty Lounge: Fan 3.0 Collection Swatches & Review
Happy Friday! Today I am helping debut Rescue Beauty Lounge’s latest collection. This collection was a collaboration with some specially chosen fans. Over a year ago, RBL held an event where fans could submit their ideas for their dream colors. The top 14 were chosen by Ji, the mastermind behind RBL, and then out of those semi-finalists the public voted and 7 winners were chosen! Now after a year in the making, these dream shades have come to fruition! Check it out!
“Sanguine” is a lush blood red metallic. AMAZING. The name, the color, I love it. It’s perfect for Fall and for Winter. I can’t wait to wear it on a cool winter day. :) 2 coats here but it’s a one-coater.
Negative Space All The Nails
Hello again lovely people! You may remember about a month ago, I teamed up with some fabulously talented nail bloggers to create a themed link-up. I am participating for the second time and today, I get to share my designs with all! Can you believe that I’m actually sharing nail art twice in one week? I don’t think that’s been done on my blog until now! I’m happy to be stretching my nail art wings. :)
The theme for September’s link-up was negative space. I haven’t incorporated all that much negative space into my nail art repertoire but I always admire it. I think negative space nails always look so chic, modern and even futuristic. Plus it’s fun to experiment with cool new looks. I couldn’t decide what to do for this prompt so I came up with 3 different looks. 2 turned out great and one is a fail. I decided to show you guys the fail anyway because I realized that I rarely show my fails on the blog. I do fail quite often in nail art since I’m still learning and practicing. The perfectionist in me, just won’t allow me to show them most of the time!
Now, let’s get to the good stuff!
First up is a negative space watermarble. I had been wanting to try using a clear polish/top coat in a watermarble for a while now so I thought this would be the perfect chance! I had a heck of a time trying to find a clear that would spread in the water well and not bleed into the colored polishes. I ended up using an unlabeled Wet n’ Wild top coat and it worked relatively well but I’m still going to be on the lookout for something else. If anyone has suggestions, I would appreciate it greatly! For this look, I used Zoya “Rocky” and “Lara” and OPI “Lost My Bikini In Molokini” and as I mentioned an unlabeled clear Wet n’ Wild polish/top coat. I then used China Glaze “Fairy Dust” to give it some sparkle and Zoya “Lara” again to add some french tips.
Swatch Spam!
Hi guys! So you know how my camera has been broken? Well I finally got my new one and it’s awesome! I went on vacation and tried it out and it’s amazing. Well, I went to start swatching on Monday night to have some posts prepared for the week and I went to open a bottle of polish that had cracked (I noticed it was leaking but it looked like it was leaking from the lid, not from a crack in the bottle) and the bottle shattered in my hands. RED polish went everywhere and I got a big cut on the underside of my finger on my left hand. It won’t affect swatches but I didn’t feel like swatching and getting acetone in my fresh cut. OUCH! I put off the swatching until this coming weekend. So today, you get a really random post! These are just random swatches I’ve been hoarding in my queue for a while now. Some are from as long as a year and a half ago, some are more recent. Some are indies, some are mainstream. Some are old, some are new. It’s a smörgåsbord of swatches, if you will. Enjoy!
Cupcake Polish “Chicago” is a beautiful lilac linear holo. I told a sweet nail polish friend of mine that I didn’t own anything (at the time) from Cupcake Polish and she was such a sweet dear and sent me this bottle! Thank you lovely Emily! I’ll definitely be getting some more of these pretties in the future! I’m glad to say I own a large handful now! 2 coats.
Rescue Beauty Lounge: The Bloggers’ 3.0 Collection Swatches & Review
Hi all! I have an extra super special post for you today. Why is it extra super special, you ask? Well, not only has it be in the works for A YEAR now but it’s been kept under wraps the whole time and now it’s finally time for the big reveal! Rescue Beauty Lounge has worked with the 5 of us newbie RBL bloggers to create some polishes! YAY! So without further ado, I present to you The Bloggers’ 3.0 Collection!
First up is “PeachyPolish.com”, my collaboration polish with RBL! It has a deep purple-toned burgundy base with loads of pink, gold and blue microshimmer. It ends up looking a bit metallic-y because of all of that shimmer. I was inspired by berry color palettes. Raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, etc. Come Fall, this will be one of my go-to colors. 2 coats.
